One of my favourite snaps from this year’s Man From Snowy River Bush Festival in the Trueco Elite / Olivia Thompson Feature Cut Out on the Friday Night in the RM Williams arena.

The light was magic and it just looked seriously unreal in the photos! One of my best memories, lined up with a bunch of photographers at the front of the camp and we were all sharing the joy! Actual spine tingling!

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐞 - 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭! ✨

Just one of the many cowboys competing in The Man From Snowy River Stockman’s Challenge, this is 𝑻𝒐𝒃𝒚 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒔.

Not only is Toby a great competitor, he’s one of the kindest and most gentlemanly cowboys you’ll meet. He’s also Australia’s current APRA Bull Riding Champion, a skilled farrier, an outstanding horseman, and husband to the beautiful Brittany Collins (née McVicar), a talented horsewoman well known for her barrel racing.

I caught Toby loosening his girth after wrapping up a big day of challenge events on Friday. Looking back, I only wish I’d asked his dad to jump in for a photo as well.

There’s something truly special about the campdraft arena at MFSR in the late afternoon. A photographers dream of golden light, a touch of dust hanging in the air and cowboys and cowgirls as far as the eye can see.

Through these wonderful people ‘The Man From Snowy River’ story lives on. A story that is shared and relived each year at the beginning of the MFSR Bush Festival in Corryong paying tribute to Jim Craig & the horses of the Australian high country.
