Did you know you need to plan your website way before actually building one? 🤔

SAVE this post for later when you build your website.

It’s not just about the color palette, fonts and images. Or even the content you write on the website!

You need more than just those elements.

Here are the things you need to consider before building a website 👇

➡️ Customer Journey: What exactly a person goes through from becoming a visitor to a customer?

➡️ Strategy: You need to have a strategy for your website. Define a goal, plan your content that helps to turn your visitor into a customer.

➡️ The Flow: How do you ensure you have an easy flow when someone lands on your homepage?

➡️ Integrations: The systems you need to have in place, to convert a visitor into a lead or a customer. It could be an integration with your email service provider, the payment methods or even integration to schedule a call with you.

➡️ Analytics: What is the use of having a website if you don’t track the metrics? You need to track the metrics, analyze and optimize your website to seal the leaks if you have any!

Pondering all that's been good over the last 12 months. ⁠

At the beginning of 2020, I was feeling confident that it was going to be my year, then...well you know what happened to all of us and then I ended up mostly bed ridden from June 2020. ⁠
⁠
I started this year with a bit of hesitation ... what would 2021 look like for me...⁠
⁠
Despite a few setbacks, I'm still really proud that I have managed to build my web design business from the ground up, plus I am working behind the scenes on a new offering. ⁠
⁠
I know there is so much more in store for the months ahead, besides continuing to build my thriving business... on a personal level, I am working on getting back to feeling fit and strong, even though, I sometimes feel disheartened at how far I have got to go, but at least, I don't need to spend the majority of my days in bed, sick.⁠

I hope this serves as encouragement to anyone who feels defeated at times, search for the light and trust your resilience to get through whatever is going on for you. Sending you all the goodness you need!

Just don't let it be in the drivers seat because it will keep you stuck. ⁠

It's something I have been working on, because for so long I allowed fear to take over my life. I'm still working through my fears and some days I am paralysed by it but overall, I don't let it run the show (or co*****ck my dreams). ⁠

Sometimes, it’s important to stop for a moment and⁠ reflect on some of your biggest accomplishments. ⁠

Since day one of my business, I’ve always dreamed of⁠ helping others to live in alignment with their souls purpose - whatever that was - I had no idea that through trial and error, I would be designing websites and strategising with business owners on the best way to show themselves to the world in a way that was in full alignment.⁠

Making that happen is a huge milestone for me and⁠ serves as a good reminder to keep moving towards my⁠ goals. ⁠

Can we just remind ourselves that what we see in an instagram feed is only a glimpse into someone's life. You very seldom see the whole picture. People rarely share what they are going through when things SUCK or when life is hard. ⁠Don't be fooled.
⁠
REAL TALK - I am having a REALLY challenging time. ⁠
My health is 💩 and it's impacting every area of my life.⁠
My mindset is 💩 because I can't do what I want to do.⁠
I am not sleeping well.⁠
My brain is so chaotic right now that I sometimes feel like my head might actually explode 🤯. ⁠
I am full of doubt about my business and what I can offer. ⁠
There's days I am so overwhelmed that I often stare at my computer screen paralysed with what I need to do next. ⁠
