Happy National Best Friend Day to my soul sisters, one in Dubai, one in South Africa, and me over here in Aus. Life scattered us across three countries, but somehow nothing between us has changed. Different time zones, same voice notes, same inside jokes, same people I’d call first for anything. Distance has never once made us feel far.

People ask me this a lot. why’d you leave? 🇿🇦→🇦🇺

and the honest answer is that i loved home. I still do, but somewhere along the way i realised the life i wanted didn’t fit inside the one i was living.

So three years ago, Andre and i packed up everything we knew and started again. gold coast first, then the sunshine coast, which finally felt like ours 🏡

Leaving wasn’t running away. It was choosing to grow. And i’d choose it again every time.

To anyone sitting with that same quiet question: the world is bigger than you think 🤍
