BRAND IDENTITY AND DESIGN FOR LOKIBOY AUSTRALIA

LokiBoy Australia Designs and manufactures Ottoman/Lounge like dog beds that are Custom-made to fit the decor of the owner's house or couch. The Client approached Shaped to design a logo & visual identity for LokiBoy. The main request was for the core of the logo to reflect the Client's pet Rhodesian Ridgeback dog, Loki.

Dog's love lazing on the couch, so it was imperative that the logo illustrated happiness and for it to be playful - yet still professional, as it was a premium product. After speaking to a Dog Behaviourist, it was outlined that when a dog lays on its back - it's in its happiest state. Therefore the logo brief was outlined.

A playful, yet minimalistic representation of Loki was designed. A rough, high-character font was attached to the logo mark. An Australian outback red was assigned as the brands core colour, as it is important to convey the Australian vibe - but also translated authenticity and emergence.

BRAND STRATEGY & IDENTITY FOR MALA MANDALA

Mala Mandala is a high-end handmade jewellery brand, made by the women of Bali Indonesia. By implementing precious gemstones into their designs, Mala Mandala produces jewellery that is more than just a beautiful piece - but rather one that imbues the wearer with a range of empowering qualities.

Shaped was approached to build the brand from the inside out, via a Brand Therapy workshop. This workshop unearthed a plethora of qualities this brand would represent. This included empowering women and support of the ethical production of jewellery in Indonesia.

After defining the Brand Substance, a visual identity was developed. A visual pleasing icon was designed, showing intricate weaving and precision - whilst also evoking the beauty of the Indonesian sun. The word-mark was optimised to show a pendant within the letter ‘M’ - as the precious gemstones was a core part of the product and overall brand. A warm bronze was assigned as the brand colour, reflecting the earth and nature of the stones and brand.
