Bagged & Boarded is a new game developed by Octoraffe Games and is currently kicking goals on Kickstarter!

The goal of the game is to acquire the most net worth, and what better way to do that than by collecting the most valuable comic collection ever!

Set in the 1950’s and paying homage to the gold, silver and bronze age of comics, Bagged and Boarded’s visual environment conjures visions of yesteryear with cheap paper stock and simple printing techniques. Rife with quirky Easter eggs, this game ensures you’ll find something new every time.

I’ve been working with the guys at Octoraffe Games for the past few years on a new board game they were bringing to market. And I couldn’t be prouder that today ‘Bagged & Boarded’ is finally launching on Kickstarter!

It’s been a true labour of love that has had me living and breathing comic books and retro illustration for nearly three years. I’ve created publisher logos, comic book covers, icons, unique characters and more all in a retro universe designed to make you feel like you’ve woke up as a kid in the 1950’s!

The guys at Octoraffe really trusted me to give this game a look that completely differentiates it from the typical kitchy graphic look and feel of similar titles.

Take a walk on over to Kickstarter and have a look. Better yet, drop some cash and pledge a copy of your own!

I’ve had a number of illustration jobs this year for the folks at Holiday HQ. They offer a number of school holiday programs for kids here in Australia.

Heralding from within their logo (which we also designed), their mascot ‘Horatio H. Quonk’ is a key part of their communications as a vibrant and distinct link back to their brand.

I’ve had a number of illustration jobs this year from the folks at Holiday HQ. They offer a number of school holiday programs for kids here in Australia.

Part of the brief involves designing a series of badges (or icons) to illustrate the various school holiday activities on offer. This particular campaign saw them take the form of scout badges to tie in with the summer camp theme.

I couldn’t let the Christmas season pass by without sharing this job I recently designed with the guys at and the City of Melbourne.

They wanted a seasonal city-wide visitors map showcasing all the Christmas events and retailers around Melbourne and this is what resulted!

Designed using a gift ribbon motif, the crimson strips criss-cross one another forming the streets, paths, and bridges that make up our wonderful city. The ribbon is also the perfect way to represent the winding Yarra river as the tail kicks into the Docklands harbour.
