Reducing our environmental footprint with handmade alternatives to single use plastics

I’ve been recycling cardboard and newspapers to create seed paper, trinket dishes, propagation frogs and reusable gift tags.

I’ve been collecting cards and packaged serviettes, glass vases and ceramic bowls from op shops to decoupage and using those skills I’ve managed to create undated planner inserts and all types of greeting cards.

My cup has been full creating over the school holidays with so much help from the kids.

The floors are dirty, the carpets need vacuuming and the dishes need to be packed in the dishwasher… but I’m so happy to be able to craft at the skate park and fill all of our cups up.

It’s been a hot minute… full time work and kids haven’t allowed all the time I would like at the sewing machine… but I’ve had a few people ask about the eco crackers.

Just checking in on expressions of interest- I won’t be able to do custom orders but I will be able to do matchy matchy themes, specific themes with what I have and also mixy matchy…. Just let me know if you’re keen…

So many different prints of Christmas crackers, reusable Christmas bag gift sets, buntings and will be there with their selections and little lucky dips for $5!

Prints are similar but not exact as I’ve been making them and then hiding them in my market box cause I have stuff evvvveerryyyyywherre! But same sort of theme, Australian a, gingham, spots and fun prints.

Christmas crackers are back and the girls have started a scrunchie business with fabrics donated by grandma Robyn and what people have given us… and also mums fabric stash 😅

Ditch the single use when school goes back… I have reusable crisp packets that double as a reusable sandwich pouch, or as they are made of pul fabric they are great for anything wet that needs to be returned home. Grab yourself one for $10.

I’m also offering a back to school discount on my beeswax wrap 4 packs… they will be available for $30!

Current on hand stock of library bags and wet bags.

Wet bags are great for kindy to keep a spare change of clothes in, if there is an accident they have a double drawstring tie to keep the clothes safely inside.

🎄aaaand it’s a wrap from me at none of your beeswax for the season…

Thank you for everyone’s support with me and my little business…

It all started with a sewing machine dad gave me, a few ideas with regards to parenting babies and the eco problems involved and then BOOM!

After a good bout of post natal depression with my girls, none of your beeswax helped nurture my soul and made me a more calm mum as it gave me something to do when my gang fell asleep. It stopped the chitter chatter in my brain. The constant support from you all with your ideas and requests is something I’ll never forget.

Thank you one and all… next year is a time for new adventures. I’m a real estate agent and property manager now so this little side hustle will still be around but I won’t be at so many markets. I still love to sew when the kids are in bed at night so when my nights are empty the ideas will still be there… until next Christmas season it’s farewell to the markets but wholesale will still be on the go… I do have a fabric addiction and don’t enjoy watching the project with my husband.

On the fourth day of Christmas…..

🍴 cutlery wraps 🍴

These are are great eco conscious stocking filler or Chris cringle pressie.

They include a straw, cleaning brush and napkin.. turn them over and they are your placement, all you need to do is pop in your own cutlery. Roll them back up and you can keep it in your handbag, the kids school bag or your glovebox. I’ve sold sets for people to keep in their caravans as well.
