The team from Powerpoint Music Centre (Bowral, Australia) have launched a new live music venue in the Southern Highlands! This weekend was their second show featuring Andy Gordon and John Kane and Andy Gordon The The Venue - Bowral seats around 80x and there's great sight lines. A geotechnical firm got in touch the other day after we'd done some photos for them. "Could you give us a quote to update our website?". It's a reasonably simple request but of course it's the classic "how long is a piece of string" question. A quick look at their website showed an old WordPress template with broken links, inconsistent fonts, colours and a hard to find phone number and email. It makes me laugh though, these guys are incredibly busy! Just goes to show that some industries are bullet proof and that doing good work is it's own marketing. Anyway, I prepared an estimate using a new feature on the Square merchant platform where you can create options (they call them packages) and let the client choose which one they want. When they choose it converts (voila!) to an invoice! I had to set up each element of the package as a new item but this is something I'd been meaning to do anyway. And now it's done, the next quote will be faster still. The pricing is super competitive of course and ranges from literally switching them over to a new template ($240) through to a new logo, rewriting, sourcing stock images, updating their google listing etc ($1560).
