A little while ago, I spent a few months designing a brand-new 60+ page guide for CitizenScience.org.au — a comprehensive resource to support BioBlitz events across Australia.

I can now finally share it with the world!

It was an absolute joy to bring this project to life — from shaping the layout and visual style to creating a design that celebrates nature, science, and community collaboration.

Project wrap-up: Dr Kanishka Williams

I have loved bringing this one to life!

From fresh branding and creative design through to the launch of www.drkanishkawilliams.com.au and a set of shiny new gold-foil business & appointment cards – this was a full-circle project and such a smooth collaboration.

This project started as a 7-page brief and quickly grew into an 18-page build as the business’s needs expanded. It meant diving head-first into a complex and technical industry, collaborating with the entire leadership team, and balancing diverse priorities — all while keeping the design on track and delivered on time.

The Power of Scheduling....

If you’re anything like me, your Saturdays (and Sundays, for that matter) are wrapped up in kids’ sport, social catch-ups, family time – and maybe tackling that highly ignored pile of washing in the laundry.

That’s why scheduling your content ahead of time is one of the smartest moves you can make for your business and it's marketing activities. Using tools like Meta’s Business Suite means you can:
- Keep your socials active (even while you’re on the sidelines)
- Stay consistent without the daily scramble
- Free up your weekends for the things you love
- Follow plans with consistency and an attention to detail

I’m not saying scheduling your content doesn’t take time – but set aside an hour or two once a week (or fortnight) and you can tick off a whole week’s worth of content in one go. It’s way less stressful than trying to whip something up in the odd five minutes you get between everything else.

It’s Sunday night… again.
And yep—your socials didn’t get updated.

A big part of what I love about my work is getting to know the people behind the businesses. So, I thought it was about time I reintroduced the person behind this one.

I’m Deb—a designer, content writer, website builder and mum of two, based in South Brighton. I started Jigsaw Marketing Solutions to help small and medium businesses tell their story in a way that’s clear, engaging and true to who they are.

I don’t believe in overcomplicating things. I believe in good design, straight-talking strategy, and doing the work properly. Every logo, website or document I create is shaped by connection and an understanding of the people behind (and in front of) the business.

A couple of lovely wins this week. I sent off first proofs for two big projects and was honestly so stoked to get such kind feedback from both clients.

We’re now into the next phase, fine-tuning images, tidying up wording, and sorting the little layout details that bring everything together.

These ones have been a real labour of love, and I’m looking forward to sharing them properly once they’re all wrapped up.
