AI search is changing how websites are read and understood.

It is no longer just about what ranks on Google, but about the full picture your website creates when AI tools scan everything that is live, including older pages you may have forgotten about.

The good news is you do not need to overhaul everything at once. A few focused objectives can make a real difference in how accurately your business is represented.

Swipe through the carousel to see simple steps you can take to start refining your website.

When completing content maintenance for AI search, it does not mean you need to be constantly rewriting your entire site or chasing perfection. The point is to ensure your website tells a clear, current, and consistent story about your business, regardless of which page is surfaced.

In practice, this means focusing on the pages that carry the most weight in how your business is understood.

- Pages that explain what you do, how you do it, and who it is for.
- Service pages, pricing pages, and core offer descriptions.
- High intent content that helps someone decide whether to enquire.

These are the pages AI systems are most likely to draw from when forming recommendations about your business.

Maintenance does not need to be constant. A structured review once or twice a year is often enough to identify what is drifting before it becomes a problem. This ensures your content still reflects your current services and pricing, positioning and tone, and the language your audience is actually using today.

If a page still aligns, it can stay as it is. If it is slightly off, it should be refined. If it no longer serves a purpose, it requires a considered decision rather than neglect.

Google has a signal often referred to as “depth of content”, and the way to build it is through a balance of quality and quantity in your content.

Bek discusses how your business can get Google to actually promote your brand through high-quality, consistent content that builds topical depth over time.

When businesses realise AI search can surface outdated website content, the first instinct is often to delete anything that feels old, inaccurate, or no longer aligned. On the surface, it seems logical. In practice, it usually creates more issues than it solves.

Deleting pages without a clear strategy can weaken your website. You can lose existing authority, break internal and external links, and create technical gaps that affect the performance of the pages you actually want to rank. Once a page is removed, it is not simply a case of restoring it later when you are ready to fix things.

More importantly, deletion does not solve the underlying problem, which is that your content no longer reflects where your business is today. In most cases, the better approach is to review and update existing pages so they align with your current services, positioning, tone, and priorities. This preserves the value the page has already built while bringing the content up to date.

In an AI search environment, visibility is more than just Google rankings. If you have been delaying updates because certain pages were not getting much attention in traditional search, it is time to rethink what visibility actually means with the rise of AI search.

Visibility is built through consistent optimisation, strategic content marketing, and a clear understanding of how people search, creating a connected system that supports long-term discoverability across search engines, AI tools, and social platforms.

At BeKonstructive Marketing, we help businesses strengthen their digital presence through SEO and AI search, content marketing, and organic social media management. Our team supports small to mid-sized businesses, typically teams of 1 to 30 people without in-house marketing support, who need clarity, structure, and consistent ex*****on.

Led by our founder and AI/SEO strategist, Bek Drayton, she brings technical SEO knowledge and content expertise from her 16 years of industry experience. Working closely with both the team and clients, she ensures strategy is clearly translated into ex*****on and remains aligned throughout its delivery.

The team is supported by our Account and Operations Manager, Caitlin Eddy, working behind the scenes to maintain systems and processes, support the team, and communicate with clients. Her attention to detail allows her to coordinate work across SEO, content marketing, and social media management.

From there, delivery is shaped by specialists across each core area of visibility.

Our SEO Coordinator, Harry Fritsch, focuses on on-page optimisation, content strategy, and search-led copywriting, ensuring content is structured to perform well in search while still connecting with real audiences. He works closely with the wider team to align content with broader visibility goals across SEO and AI search.

Our Social Media Coordinator, Tegan Palombi, balances creativity with data to drive the social media strategy and ex*****on behind the agency's social media accounts. Her work centres around ensuring each piece of content is positioned to reach the right people and perform effectively across platforms.

Our services are designed around one outcome: helping your business show up where your audience is already looking.

SEO and AI search visibility often get treated like a content problem. Blog posts, backlinks, keywords. All important, but only part of the picture.

What is often missed is the foundation underneath it all: your website’s hosting environment.

Cheap or poorly maintained hosting can limit performance through slow website speed, inconsistent uptime, and weaker security signals. This impacts how search engines view and prioritise your site.

We've seen businesses put real effort into content and strategy, only to be held back by technical issues they did not realise were there. If your website is not technically sound, your SEO efforts will never perform at their full potential.

To get the full breakdown,Bek wrote an article for JasonIT on the hidden cost of cheap website hosting and what it could be doing to your visibility. Read it here: https://jasonit.com.au/how-website-hosting-impacts-seo/

For years, businesses have been conditioned to think that if something is not ranking on Google, it is not being seen.

That made sense in a traditional search environment. Google’s algorithm naturally deprioritises content that is outdated, unsupported, or no longer aligned with current search intent. Over time, older pages quietly fall down the rankings and disappear from view.

However, AI search works differently. Tools like ChatGPT are not simply ranking individual pages against one another. It builds a broader understanding of your brand by scanning and interpreting your entire website. That includes your most recent content, but it also includes pages you may have forgotten exist.

As businesses evolve, services change, pricing shifts, tone is refined, and positioning becomes more specific, but your website may not always keep pace with that evolution. In an AI-driven search environment, those older pages do not quietly fade away in the same way. They can resurface in context, and in some cases, shape how your business is interpreted and presented to potential clients.

If a page exists and is still accessible, especially if it is included in your sitemap, it becomes part of the dataset that informs AI-generated recommendations. Website maintenance is no longer just about improving rankings or keeping content fresh for Google. Now, it is essential to actively manage what version of your business AI systems are able to see and reconstruct.

A lot of agencies lean into the idea that SEO is complex and technical, and use that as a reason to keep things unclear or difficult to understand.

Bek explains how BeKonstructive Marketing takes a different approach by working closely with clients to understand their goals and the metrics that actually matter to them. We make their data accessible and easy to understand so clients can clearly see what is happening and why.

Where is the best place to put links on LinkedIn in 2026?

There has been ongoing debate about whether links should sit in comments or in the main body of a post. Historically, LinkedIn often limited reach and visibility on posts with links in the caption, which led many people to move links into the comments instead. However, we are now seeing that this strategy is also resulting in the link being deprioritised or hidden under the comment section's default settings.

On the other hand, posts with links in the main body no longer appear to be penalised in the same way. This shift is supported by LinkedIn introducing a new premium link click tracking feature for individual posts, suggesting a stronger focus on measuring outbound engagement directly.

From what we are seeing in practice, posts that include links directly can still achieve strong reach and engagement. It now appears less about avoiding links entirely and more about how naturally they are integrated into the post.
