Two Weeks ago, the Twenty Two team went to 🤩
Kevin, Mikayla, and Sarah spent the day immersed in talks that pushed them to think differently about design, identity, accessibility, education, and the kind of impact their work can have.
Here's what stood out to each of them 👀
Kevin's reflection: Three messages stayed with him: Kate Fisher on the unseen impact of donating blood, Jordi Luke on the quiet courage of living honestly as yourself, and Bill Ovenden on recognising friction before jumping to solutions. He's already planning to be back next year.
Mikayla's reflection: walked in expecting the usual motivational talks and forced mingling. As a self-described secret introvert, big networking events usually induce panic. Instead, she cried, laughed, and left thinking about the kind of impact she wants to have. Jordi Luke's talk on the courage it takes to show up as yourself stuck with her the most. Her takeaway? Apply to be in the audience at your local TEDx. You won't regret it ⚡💜
Sarah's reflection: As an entrepreneur, hearing bold ideas and stories from incredible minds gets the cogs turning. Kate Fisher's talk on the quiet impact of donating blood moved her to tears. Lotti Tajouri left her equally disgusted and amazed (and the proud new owner of a UV cleaner). And Fleur Madden's hard-hitting stats on women in business and the "exit gap" sparked a deeper curiosity she's still sitting with.
At Twenty Two, the belief is that the best work comes from people who stay curious, keep learning, and bring what they discover back to the team. Days like this are a reminder of why that matters 🤔
Thank you to , the speakers who shared so generously, and everyone the team connected with along the way.
