Look at that 〰️ texture 〰️

My new business cards made their debut at the Brisbane Weddings Festival over the weekend, and I couldn't be happier with them.

I fell in love with letterpress a very long time ago and I hope you can see why! I was so excited to finally bring these to life using the printing process which brings me the most joy.

Letterpress is a more expensive print process than digital printing but totally worth it, especially when doing larger print runs. If you have been thinking about getting some business cards, feel free to reach out. I'd love to hear from you!

CINDY & LOCHIE. How time flies! I can’t believe it has been six months already. Swipe to see pictures of this gorgeous couple and their small wedding from November. Due to Covid they had to postpone from their original date in September but finally made it down the aisle on their second try. Such a privilege to not only be by your side on your day but also to create your wedding stationery and signage.

What do you do when you go by different names? In my case we included both!

In my last post I mentioned this, so here is the backstory. My fiancé and I met playing Roller Derby, it is a little unconventional, but we have solely called each other by our derby names ever since. I truly couldn't imagine it any other way however, our families obviously prefer our given names so of course, we had to have both. It is such an important part of our story and who we are so being my own designer I was excited to figure out how to work it in.

I love nothing more than being able to tell a couple's story through custom stationery. If you want something that tells your story feel free to contact me with your ideas, I would love to have a chat!

LAURA & CATHERINE/ ARIEL & CATCHIE - A minimal double-sided Save the Date. They say the hardest client is yourself, and this is 100% true! However, we got there in the end and I love how these turned out. ⁣

For us it did not feel right to just use our legal names, luckily as my own designer, I knew I could figure out how to include both (I will be posting a backstory to this soon). So that is how our wonderful double-sided invitations came to be. I have been tackling our wedding invites for the last few months and cannot wait to share the fun way I will be playing with this concept next time around.⁣

A while back the wonderful Bespoke Letterpress had a studio sale and the envelopes I used for this project were one of the absolute scores I got from it. The moment I saw them I knew they were destined for our Save the Dates, they became the star of the show and I left our invites super minimal to contrast the stunning patterns.⁣

SIOBHAN & CHRIS - Inspired by the Gumtrees, this set was perfect for a spring wedding at Tambourine Mountain.

How beautiful is this dreamy shade of green? I have been looking for an excuse to use this Woodland Matcha stock ever since it was released and I knew immediately at our consult that this was the perfect use for it.

CINDY & LOCHIE - A modern twist on tradition. I can’t tell you how much fun I had working with my favourite couple again to create their custom wedding invitations (creating their save the dates last year is what inspired me to create Wattle and Thistle!).

For their invites we wanted to create something modern and minimal that reflected them as a couple but also included Cindy’s Vietnamese heritage. From the very start we knew that a bilingual invitation was the best way to go with an English side and a Vietnamese side. We wanted both sides to be cohesive however we also wanted to incorporate the format of traditional Vietnamese invitations. It was certainly challenging but I am so so happy with how they turned out.

Website Coming Soon! It has been a busy time of late and I can’t wait to share some of the projects I have been working on.
