A wee disclaimer from the copywriter's desk:
If I had a dollar for every time someone asked if I felt threatened by gen AI, I'd be living on a luxury yacht, sipping shirly temples and bingeing episodes of Seinfeld on repeat.
But this post isn't about job security; it's about changes to what you're seeing on my posts:
Fact: My copy comes from a human heart; it's what I am all about. I'm out here raw do***ng the creativity in real time (and I love it).
Fact: Meta has made some changes to the way it labels AI content. I don't use generative AI, it can go in the bin. I do, however, use Canva and Grammarly.
So, why does this matter? What am I waffling about?
Meta may occasionally flag my content as AI or say that it has some AI element and I want to address THAT elephant.
AI is more than Chatty GPT, Claude and whatever comes next. There is plenty of other platforms with benefits well beyond content creation, writing and art and I'm not raging against the machine.
Equally, I'm not stealing people's content, art or creativity.
I do things like remove the background on my Canva images and use Grammarly to tidy up typos. These things may be labelled as AI but it's important to note the differences here.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk! Now let's resume usual programming and get back to the good stuff! ✏️
