On 30th May 2025, Iām walking in the 2025 Darkness to Daylight Challenge.
This isnāt just a walk for me.
Itās a walk through my past⦠and a step toward a brighter future.
Iām participating in the 2025 Darkness to Daylight walk because Iām a survivor of domestic violence.
And Iām walking for the countless othersāespecially women and childrenāwho are still living in fear, still trying to find a way out, still trying to heal.
For years, domestic violence shaped every part of my life.
It shattered my sense of safety, drained my confidence, and left scarsāsome visible, some hidden.
But the hardest part wasnāt what happened to me.
It was watching the ripple effect it had on my children.
The trauma doesnāt end when you leave.
It lingers in your body, your mind, your finances, your friendships, your future.
Thatās why this cause is so deeply personal.
Because I know what itās like to feel alone.
And I know how life-changing support can be when it finally reaches you.
By walking in this event, Iām not just honouring my own journeyāIām walking for those who never made it out.
Iām walking for those still in the dark, who need to know that help exists, that healing is possible, and that they are not alone.
Every single donation helps fund programs that offer safety, support, education, and hope.
Your contribution isnāt just moneyāitās a message.
It tells survivors: we see you, we believe you, and weāre fighting for you.
š Please consider supporting my walk. Your donation will fund life-saving programs that help survivors, educate communities, and work to end the cycle of abuse.
Together, we can bring hope, healingāand light.
