Lights On QLD

Lights On QLD Lights ON, trains disabled creatives for the screen industry, then connects them with brands through partnerships and content campaigns. Trained. Diverse.

Industry-ready. A Brock Casting initiative building towards Brisbane 2032.

Here's a look at what actually happens inside a Lights On session. Studio lights up, a participant in the seat, the crew huddled around the monitor checking the shot before rolling.

This is the real work behind Lights On. Eight weeks of on camera training with a casting director and APAC's Head of Acting, Sean Dennehy. Cohort 3 kicks off in September 2026 with six new participants stepping into that same studio.

None of this happens without partners who back the training itself, not a slogan. If your brand wants to be part of what's building here, come see how: https://partnerships.brockupmedia.com.au/

Here's a number worth sitting with: people with disability and their households represent $13 trillion in disposable income worldwide. That is not a niche audience.

That is one of the largest underserved markets anywhere.

Inclusive casting is not charity. It is a genuine signal to that audience that a brand actually sees them, and audiences notice.

Lights On trains Queensland performers through eight weeks of on camera coaching with a casting director and APAC's Head of Acting, so brands get talent who are ready for a real set from day one.

Where it all started. February 2026.

Six participants. Eight weeks. Twenty four hours of screen performance training built for neurodivergent creatives and performers navigating physical accessibility.

Not a workshop. Not a taster. A real pathway to set, ending in headshots, an intro slate, and a Casting Networks profile.

Alex from Cohort 1 graduates has already booked paid work since finishing the program.

Not a certificate. Not a pat on the back. An actual several thousand dollar booking, off the back of eight weeks of real training and a Casting profile that gets them seen.

This is what the program is built to do.

Cohort 2 just wrapped.

Eight weeks ago this group walked in as aspiring performers. Last week they walked out with headshots, an intro slate, a Casting Networks profile, and proof they belong on set exactly as themselves.

(This photo says it better than we can.)

This is the only screen performance training built for neurodivergent creatives and performers navigating physical accessibility. Not an alternative pathway. The pathway.

Cohort 3 is filling now.

Behind every actor on set, there's a whole crew making sure they can just focus on the work.

This is what Lights On looks like off camera. Our participants' support workers, right there in it with them. Genuinely enjoying the evening as much as anyone.

They tell us this often. How much fun it is watching and listening to their clients come alive on set.

Grateful for every support worker and team member who shows up for this.
