Aurora is heading to Land Forces 2026

We will be on the ground in Perth from 6–8 October, connecting with clients, industry and the people shaping Australia's Defence landscape.

Defence Industry Development Grants Program extended to 2030

The 2026 Defence Industry Development Strategy (DIDS26) confirmed on 2 July that the Defence Industry Development Grants Program will now run to 2030, with an extra $80 million on the table.

There’s a clear signal to defence industry bidders here.
Defence is backing a longer runway for sovereign capability, and the updated Detailed Sovereign Defence Industrial Priorities (SDIPs) show exactly where that funding will land. For bidders, this is your roadmap. The product areas named in the SDIP Annex are the ones Defence wants built here, by Australian businesses.

What changes now? Nothing, yet. The current Grant Opportunity Guidelines (GOGs) and 2024 SDIPs still apply. Closing dates, values, assessment criteria and processing timeframes are unchanged.

What changes later? The GOGs will be updated by year end to reflect the new priorities, with minor tweaks to application forms on the Business Grants Hub.
The smart move: don't wait for the new guidelines to start planning. Map your capabilities against the SDIP Annex now. When the updated GOGs land, you want to be ready to move, not starting from scratch.

Bidders who read the priorities early tend to win the funding rounds that follow.
