A less quick than intended video of my various timelapse shots. Seems a terrible thing to waste them all and some of the footage is pretty epic (and thank you to Scott Buckly for putting his suitably epic music up under creative commons).

Now to go babysit the cameras I have set up for today's cells.

My photos from last night. Most of them are exposure stacks to add some details like the car lights. Think they capture the spirit of it well. Got another post going up with a link to the video I put totgether from all the time lapses, so keep an eye out or pop over to my profile.

Been pretty bleh with health lately BUT It has been awesome to shoot some live music again.

These are some of my favs from last Saturday...
Faithnightclub Brisbane will have plenty more to share. Hoping to get in as often as I can to support the local scene.

Trying out some new paper that was gifted to me... I have been living a lie! This stuff does not pill, sets colour well but also allows easy soaking of pigment back up (before it dies of course).

I am looking forward to pushing my boundaries this year... in a healthy way.

The Crowd, A5, Watercolour and Gouache

Another play with the new Derwent Inktense set I picked up. Again using Gouache to pick out elements. Inspired from my photography at The Sisters of Mercy After Party. I am really enjoying the set - it has the same intensity of my cheaper pigments but just works better.

Flora, A5, Watercolour and Gouache

Second play around (did not get a picture of the first, gifted it to a young girl who was very into painting and talking to strangers) with the Derwent Inktense 24 set I picked up. Using Gouache to build up some layers. Did it by the pool at the Courtyard Marriott in Bali looking at the plants - homage to the similar piece I did at the same place back in April.

Trying to be a bit more restrained. Was a fun piece to do and managed to plan it out over the day after my previous 'drunk' robot. Posts are a bit slow as health has been absurd.

If people like this more traditional style I may do some more.

Some of my favourite shots (that work 1:1 aspect) from the last two Faith Nightclub events. I really do love this gig - socialising, drinking, dancing and all the time just snapping pictures.

Shooting on the Nikon Z6 with the F mount 50mm. Great for the low light but the autofocus hunts like mad, so between that and the lighting I just shoot burst... and as always check out Faith - currently running once a month 💜📸🦇

Getting back into water colours and shook the rust of with a bit of pop culture.

The Mighty Monarch - scourge of Dr Venture! - with a slight cryptid spin as suggested by a friend.

This was a fun piece and I pushed up to A4 to get out of my comfort zone a bit (I like A5 for couch projects). Definitely a few things I would have maybe done differently but you don't get better without just throwing piments at the page.

Looking forward to doing some more and possibly some more Venture Brothers is people like it.

Been quiet here - but still working on stuff. Been doing more digital art with models. Hoping to get back to even more water colour works though.

Digital has been an awesome medium to experiment and play around in - using Adobe Fresco on my laptop is definitely a great way to not have to worry about cleaning up paints... and the undo button.

Was so happy to be able to shoot the Wildside Glam Night last Saturday. The Australian Mötley Crüe Show, Faithnightclub Brisbane and My Bakery Lane put on an amazing night!
.. despite the rain messing with all the set-up 😅

I probably will go back over these for tweaks (and I have a bit of video too) but I really wanted to share some now. Hoping 2022 is the year I can shoot more live music and events.
