As we mark National Sorry Day annually on 26 May in the lead up to Reconciliation Week, we reflect and remember those of the Stolen Generations.

Proud to attend and be a part of many significant events honouring the Stolen Generations and their resilience every year, including the annual Apology Breakfast convened by Message Stick.

The stories of those who were removed will always be remembered.

Today (26th May) marks National Sorry Day and it was a strong turnout for the 29th annual Teralba Park Stolen Generations Support Group Inc. commemoration in Brisbane, with hundreds coming together to acknowledge the pain and suffering of the Stolen Generations and their families.

Thank you to the Reconciliation Queensland Inc for the opportunity to emcee its recent gala on behalf of Gilimbaa.

It was a powerful evening filled with connection, reflection and celebration, and a great reminder of the importance of coming together in the spirit of reconciliation.

Recently I had the pleasure of being a part of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade's 'G'Day by the Bay' event in Singapore, sharing and celebrating our culture overseas alongside the High Commissioner and other distinguished guests.

Part of the trip included a workshop with the deadly students at Singapore's School of the Arts, in which we explored different aspects of the didgeridoo and enjoyed an impromptu jam.

As we acknowledge National Doctors’ Day this week, we recognise the important and positive impacts doctors have on our communities.

We acknowledge our client the Royal Flying Doctor Service - Queensland Section, with whom we co-created the ‘Our Journey is Shared, Our Spirit is Strong’ artwork to bring their story to life.

The artwork now travels far and wide, including on RFDS’s mobile dental service, supporting better health outcomes in rural and remote communities.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Aunty Rhoda Roberts. We are lucky to have worked with Aunty Rhoda over the years.

Our country is a better place because of her, and her legacy will last for generations to come.

While there have been many tributes shared acknowledging the contributions she pioneered in our sector, John-Paul Janke has perhaps summed it up best:
