It took me so long to understand but this is all I can say if you are thinking of starting your own small business 👉🏼 take the leap and do it.

You’ll learn so much on your journey, you don’t need to know everything before you start - trust me. This is how I started - I knew what I wanted to do but I had no idea HOW! I followed content creators and people in my niche, observed them, did so many short online courses and visited tons of free masterclasses and got better day by day…

I am still not ready for all the things I have planned for my lil biz - but you know what? I am closer to achieving them today than I was yesterday… ✨

Copywriting skills are an essential part of (social media) marketing and here are my tips on how to become a even BETTER copywriter!

✨ Become a better reader! Read as much as you can and analyse the language, style of writing, difficulty etc. - trust me you’ll learn the differences!

✨ Know your product!
This is self explanatory - find out as much as possible about the product or service you are writing about. All aspects of it!

✨Don’t sell the product, sell how the product will make you feel!
People rarely buy the product itself - the buy the feelings and benefits of that product. Focus on that part and you’ll automatically sell the product.

✨Know your target market.
Again - self explanatory, find out who your audience is and write accordingly. If your audience are millennials, avoid using Gen Z slang.

✨Work on eye-catching headlines!
If your headlines don’t hook your audience, they won’t read your blog or email. Find controversial headlines that will make your readers want more!

WHAT IS A SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY? 💫

Not only does it include goals for your business but also talks about tactics to reach those goals and metrics to measure the success rate.

Before you start, keep the following in mind:

👉🏼 Remember to use the SMART framework to write down your goals.

👉🏼 Do a detailed target market and competitor research. See what they your potential client needs and what your competitor is offering and do it better!

👉🏼 Create a social media calendar and plan out your content. Track your metrics - see what works for you and not and adjust if needed.

Remember, your strategy will never be up to date as there are constantly new updates on social media! You need to stay alert and adjust whenever needed! 💕
