Have you attended a Healthy Land & Water or workshop? 🔥🌿Your experience can help shape future fire education programs.

This new research project is led by Social Marketing at Griffith and supported by The University of Melbourne.

The research is exploring how landholders turn fire education into effective actions using Nature‑based Solutions – helping strengthen long‑term disaster preparedness for both people and landscapes.
The survey takes around 15 minutes, responses are confidential, and your feedback will help improve future fire education across South East Queensland and beyond.

This project is being delivered in collaboration with NRM Regions Australia with the support of the Minderoo Foundation.

3 common mistakes organisations make when trying to change behaviour 👇

1️⃣ Starting with solutions
Too often teams jump straight into campaigns without a clear behavioural diagnosis. Mastering Design Thinking teaches you how to unpack the problem deeply with audiences - so you design with insight instead of assumption.

2️⃣ Skipping co-design with the people you are trying to engage
Designing for communities without designing with them can limit relevance and uptake. Our How to Facilitate Co-designworkshop walks you through practical tools to bring diverse voices into the design process so your solutions fit real needs.

3️⃣ Insights without action
Gathering audience insights is the start. Without a clear plan to act, test, and reflect, valuable knowledge often goes unused. Our workshops case studies show you how to turn insights into practical steps that create real change.

Our Summer Series 2026 isn’t about theory alone. It equips you with practical frameworks, co-design skillsets, and strategic tools to create behaviour change that sticks.

📅 One week to go.

The Mastering Design Thinking workshop in the Summer Series 2026 shows how a human-centred approach can turn complex challenges into practical, testable solutions.

Using the same design thinking process applied in our work with Cancer Council Queensland, participants are guided through hands-on activities to understand real human needs, define the right problem, generate ideas, and test behaviour-change solutions.

In just one day, this approach brought together 56 multidisciplinary participants, generated 240+ ideas, and delivered 8 tested behaviour-change prototypes—including campaign concepts for cancer prevention.

✏️ Learn practical tools you can apply immediately to design solutions that create real-world impact.
