Queensland Fruit & Vegetable Growers

Queensland Fruit & Vegetable Growers The state industry body representing Queensland fruit, vegetable and nut growers. To us, horticulture is the most vital industry in the world.

Queensland Fruit & Vegetable Growers (QFVG) is the peak representative body for fruit, vegetable, and nut growers in Queensland. We exist to ensure strength in horticulture for generations to come. Originally a statutory authority, the organisation went under the name of Committee of Direction of Fruit Marketing (also known as COD or COD Industry Services). In 1991, COD changed their name to Queen

sland Fruit & Vegetable Growers and then in 1999 also changed their status from a statutory body to a company limited by guarantee. 2004 brought about the addition of a trading name ‘Growcom’, a name which the organisation has been known as ever since. In 2023, we launched Horticulture Queensland - our new dedicated advocacy & membership arm. Growcom is retained to serve as the programs and projects delivery arm.
