An announcement from Instagram this week revealed that their two video features, Reels and IGTV, will be combining to create Instagram's newest feature, Instagram Video 🎥
Clearly, Instagram, is shifting from a photo sharing focused model to highlighting the video sharing capability, most likely in attempt to keep up with highly successful key competitor, Tik Tok. But how does this affect Instagram users?
🎬 A 60 second preview is available in the feed, requiring users to click on the video for the full version
🎬 Provides an opportunity for stronger and more in depth storytelling
🎬 Your personal profile may look different with a new 'video' tab
🎬 It's worth noting that previews will be limited when uploads involve advertising
