Does your business grow, produce, manufacture, distribute, import or sell food products? Do you know what your business needs to do to comply with the new Country of Origin Food Labelling Information Standard?

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is hosting a free webinar on Thursday 22 June 2017 at 6:30pm (AEST) to help you understand the new Country of Origin Food Labelling laws and how to comply with the new food labelling requirements before they become mandatory on 1 July 2018.

The webinar will address the following questions:

Who needs to make a country of origin claim?
What do ‘grown’, ‘produced’, ‘made’ and ‘packed’ mean on the new labels?
When can you make a ‘made in’ claim?
How do you calculate the percentage of Australian content in products?
How will the new requirements be enforced?
If you sell food in retail stores in Australia, new Country of Origin Labelling (CoOL) laws apply to your products from 1 July 2016.

Businesses will have time to adjust over a two-year transition period. This means food products packaged up until 1 July 2018 can be sold without the new labels.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has published guidance on the new origin labelling rules for food to help businesses comply with the new requirements.

Your business will have two years until the new labels are mandatory.

We were delighted to print these gorgeous invitations for the Queensland Wildlife Artists Society Inc (including the artwork of Janeen Fedricks) to their latest exhibition kicking off this Friday evening 8th July. It's a show of nature inspired artworks by some of Australia's leading wildlife artists and is open until the 20th August at the Logan Art Gallery.
