Love Summer for the flowers and fruit in the subtropics! (Not so much the cane toads though!)

DAY 8: LAKE DISTRICT, UK 🇬🇧
Grizedale Sculpture

This site specific artwork, 'Intrastellar' by Steve Messam, was temporarily installed for the Cumbria Dark Skies Festival. Responding to the mirrored surface of the lake, reflections from the illuminated spheres and the starry sky dance across the water.

The sculptures are spread throughout the Grizedale Forest, established in 1977 as the first forest for sculpture in the UK. The forest is open, accessible and free for everyone to explore. The forest is a space for artists to engage with natural woodland that inspires the creation and presentations of new works.

This steamer trunk from 1890 converts to a dresser so the traveler doesn't have to unpack.
