Last month (late to the party, oops) marked five years since I started my page. I honestly can't believe how much I have personally grown and how much my artwork has developed over the years. So, a big happy birthday to me! (hehe)

I first started by selling a small line of artwork and have expanded to include t-shirts, tote bags, scrunchies, stickers, and my very funny greeting cards. It feels crazy looking back at where I was and where I am now today. I am so proud of my achievements and how far I have come. I have definitely changed from a shy, self-conscious person to someone who is eager to talk about it with anyone.

I feel extremely lucky to have found what I am so passionate about and wouldn't change a thing. Every moment is so special to me, and I am constantly growing in confidence and developing my skills.

But, in saying all of this, I have had my fair share of lows. From a lack of motivation, rejection, negative feedback, or just standard burnout. However, whenever I go through these lows, I always take a step back and look at the past five years and how far I have come.

Reading your comments, feedback, and heartfelt messages makes it all so much better. Seeing and hearing how my illustrations have had a positive impact makes it all worthwhile and enhances my love for what I do.

Introducing my nourish girl era 🌸

In a world where we strive to make a difference, sometimes we forget that the greatest impact starts within ourselves. We can only do so much to help others, but there comes a time when we should focus on nurturing our own growth.

This illustration represents my journey of flourishing, being at peace with who I am and standing tall and proud in my own skin. It's about nurturing myself to become the best version of who I am meant to be. With the intention to create a ripple effect and encourage you to do the same.

Flourishing is all about finding true fulfillment in life, chasing after meaningful pursuits, and building strong connections with others. My new journey will explore normalising what is demonised, reclaiming lost power, and transforming negatives into positives.

Flourish where we are and bloom where we stand. Because by nourishing ourselves, we create a ripple effect that inspires others to do the same. Together, let's embark on a journey of self-discovery and watch as we transform into the beautiful beings we were always meant to be. 🌸

I have always loved art, even when I was a young. I loved the idea of making and selling something. I loved the idea of greeting people into my shop and meeting new people.

When I was eight, I was obsessed with Scoobies. I had piles and piles of them in my room, with no idea what I was going to do with them. Until I came up with the great idea of setting up my own shop.

Now, I’m not talking about anything glamorous or even public. I had a cute little set up in my families living area which including a small coffee table and me sitting on the ground. But I made it perfect. I even had business cards, memberships, gift wrapping and expanded my products by the week.

Now from this description, you would be thinking I didn’t make much, but surprisingly, I did (thank you family, especially grandad 🥹). I ran ‘The Scoobie Shop’ (original, I know) for a couple of years, until the I come to the tough decision to close it down. And of course, have a closing down sale.

But I knew the dream wasn’t over. Fast forward 10+ years, I have a new shop. I have a new setup. And I couldn’t be prouder of myself.

This week marks 4 years since I started my page. Happy birthday to me (hehe). I honestly can’t believe how far i have come in four years since starting my page and making my first product.

Looking back on when I first started the page I was so self conscious to show anyone my work, as only very very few saw any of my drawings, I’m talking about like my art teachers, close friends, and some family members. Which now is crazy to think how comfortable I am and how much I want to show people what I have done.

I am so privileged to have found what I am passionate about and am so proud of my work. I love every moment of these crazy four years and am so happy with my own self development. I am proud of my achievements and have so much more confidence in my work. I absolutely love going to markets and meeting so many incredible makers, meeting people from all over the world and having the privilege to work with them.

The good will always come with the bad. I have had my fair share of burnout (my own doing and always learning when I need to take a break), I have gone through long periods of lacking motivation to draw or taking on any clients and seriously lacked inspiration.

Honestly speaking, reading your comments, feedback and heartfelt messages makes it all so much better. Seeing and hearing how my illustrations have had a positive impact makes it all better and makes what I love that much better.

A massive thank you to everyone for being apart of all of this and I am so excited to see what’s to come in future!
