A decades-long family commitment to philanthropy is the driving force behind a new and unique partnership between Queensland Gives and Rodney, Karen, Scott and Helen Taylor of Tayco Outdoor Advertising.
Thanks to the generosity of the Taylor family, Queensland Gives will have a greater presence throughout the state, with the use of two full-size roadside billboards at alternating locations for the next three years.
The Taylors’ incredible generosity will help promote Queensland Gives and the funding it provides to charity organisations throughout the state. It also embodies the spirit of philanthropy promoted by Queensland Gives and embodied by the Taylor family.
Lending generous support to worthy causes is nothing new to the Taylors, whose personal connection to important causes has driven them to promote research into Motor Neurone disease on their high-profile billboards, and get involved with many worthy causes at the grassroots level.
As well as running Tayco, Rodney has been an active member of both Rotary and Apex and is currently chair of a regional Queensland aged care facility. When he heard about the incredible work being done by Queensland Gives and their efforts to raise awareness of the funding they provide to charities, he knew it was another good cause he could get behind.
“We are very happy to help spread the word about Queensland Gives and the support it gives to charities throughout the state,” he said.
“After hearing about the sustainable model Queensland Gives uses to guarantee funding for hundreds of charities, we knew that our billboards would be valuable, appreciated and a powerful tool to promote their work.”
You can spot our two shiny new billboards on the Bruce Highway west of Apple Tree Creek near Childers and also on Gin Gin Rd near Bundaberg. Thank you so much Tayco - your help will make a huge difference to regional causes!
