Plot twist: our team quarterly planning day back in July ended in murder 🔎🕵️

The day started off with a reflection on the first half of the year, reviewing our goals and setting new ones, when it came to wind-down, instead of the usual margarita, we tried something new...

All it took was Hannah, an op shop in Babinda and a $3 murder mystery game built for eight. She knew we had to play 🙌

Nobody's confessing yet. Everybody's suspicious of everybody. And the A-Team? Fully committed to their characters.

Last Friday, Vee had the privilege of attending the inaugural Far North Queensland Legacy fundraising Long Lunch as part of Legacy Week and what a beautiful afternoon it was. 💙

We enjoyed a beautiful lunch on the deck at Crystalbrook’s Paper Crane, surrounded by an incredible group of people coming together to support such an important cause.

Spring is a great reminder that your marketing shouldn't stay in the same place forever.

Where the business was and what it needed six months might have changed.

For Salt House’s 2026 Food & W**e Festival, the marketing strategy was different to their usual retainer package with a goal of growing attendance from last years event by 50%. So we used a strategic mix of social media, radio, influencer marketing and outdoor to build awareness, drive pre-sale tickets and create demand.

The result? 🎉

✨ 3,500 attendees, more than double the previous year
✨ 1,600+ tickets sold before the event
✨ VIP day beds sold out in just three days
✨ 93,000 people reached through just $950 in social media spend
✨ 5,153 landing page views at just $0.11 per view

The lesson? Good marketing isn't about sticking with what you've always done. It's about paying attention, adapting when circumstances change and making sure your strategy is moving with your business.
