I spent yesterday at a business event to see THE Chris Do speak.

He did not disappoint.

If you have been living under a rock, Chris Do is an incredible graphic designer, former music video maker and current branding specialist who happens to share his expertise & opinions on social media.🎤

He is a highly engaging speaker who isn’t afraid to share his opinions on all things brands, branding, social media and more.

He shared how you should never be afraid to ask the question and this is something I totally agree with AND how I managed to get a GIANT YouTube family to film with one of my clients.👏🏻

That you shouldn’t be letting fear of being trolled or negative opinion impact what you share online for your business.
This is a big issue that I know holds you back, but having an opinion or sharing content that aligns with your values is important when trying to connect with your audience.🙏🏻

And that to stand out, you need to be doing things differently to everyone in our industry, not blindly following what everyone else is doing. 🙌🏻

This week I turned 42.

And man was it a week!

It was a full week of anxiety, excitement, sadness and also so much joy.🎢

You see my baby started Kindy and I surprised myself with just how much emotion that stirred. He meanwhile surprised us all with his enthusiasm and excitement. Although by Friday the exhaustion was real.🥹

It also was my eldest daughters last week at home as she takes off to follow her dreams of working on a cattle station in Nth QLD.
🐄I am so proud of her fearlessness, determination & work ethic but I am also so sad to have her leave home. I don’t feel old enough or ready to have a grown adult child leave home.💔
Plus! How rude of her to leave the week of my birthday?!😭😂

Thankfully, my beautiful husband spoiled me with High Tea at where they surprised me with my very own birthday cupcake 🧁 AND then dinner at one of my favourites - with most of the children.

Although the week has been a crazy rollercoaster I feel so loved.

Another year wiser, stronger & happier. What else can a girl ask for.🩷

2016…

Way back when I was still a fairly new mum to my then 10yr old daughter.

I had a different partner, we were living in Ryde because I was in my pharmaceutical/medical devices era, living with 3 dogs, 2 cats & a rabbit!🤪

We still came back to Camden every chance we got especially for the which was owned by at the time and of course for the 🩷

I look back on these photos and just think about how much energy I had back then!

So thankful for all the adventures and fun that was had as a Mum to one. And for all the lessons learnt along the way.🥰

I have been way too absent on social media…

Especially for someone who preaches CONSISTENCY!🤦🏻‍♀️
The truth is I was heading towards burnout again. I was not sleeping, not looking after myself and feeling the overwhelm of being the primary parent & a small business owner.

Thankfully, I have some better processes in place now.🥰

To catch you up on all that you have missed:

1. I took the boys to Ice-Cream EXPERIENCE - because it is an experience. She has hired so well with a team that not only provide great service but also perfectly embody the brand. And yes! Their “The Best Vanilla I Ever Had” IS the BEST vanilla I have ever had!!🙌🏻

2. I once was asked what my super power is… and I think it’s this… connecting people. I work with an incredible grass roots charity and I had the incredible privilege to connect them with The Norris Nuts. Which of course meant that Miss S was able to meet her favourite YouTubers!

3. Celebrating Miss S’s 12th Birthday watching Wicked For Good. So many tears, such a great experience.

4. Impromptu brunch dates with coincidental twinning from Mr Ask Tara & Mr 4.

5. Wednesday evening tee ball with Mr 7. I love it.😍

6. Late nights with my children that refuse to sleep… this was some ungodly hour when he finally surrendered. Lucky for him it made for a cute moment… because I was not feeling so cute.

7. .womens.society Christmas Party. I love the women in this community.

8 & 9. What can I say… I love connecting people. Sam from was more than happy to host a Meditation with Kittens for and what a night!!! These cuties are still looking for their forever homes.

10. Coordinating a content shoot with my favourite photographer and my favourite model for 📸

11 & 12. Miss S’s Yr 6 Farewell! She looks like a 17yr old. And yes! That is her standing next to her almost 20yr old sister! This shot of 4/6 kids makes me laugh so much!

I recently took part in something so far out of my comfort zone…

But! I figured since it’s normally me sticking a camera in your face, it’s about time I got in front of the camera too.📷

Recently I was selected to take part in campaign which was super exciting and then quickly terrifying!
