I hate the dentist. More than I hate going to the hospital or eating my vegetables, the dentist is my least favourite appointment. And, due to the fact I move around a lot, I’m constantly looking for a new dentist to trust my teeth with.

Talking to friends who also struggled with finding a dentist, I heard all kinds of horror stories—anything from getting fake cavities filled to being overcharged for a service they didn’t receive. What we could all agree on: finding a good dentist is hard.

You might find that bringing in good patients, and lots of them, is hard too!

A word we don't use enough in Dental is: outsource

When you outsource tasks to a virtual assistant you will be free to focus on the bigger picture and have more time to do the things in your practice that only you can do - provide excellent patent care and treatments.

All the while knowing that someone has your back and is looking after all the "behind the scenes" tasks.

Find more smiles to brighten 😬😬😬😬

Extend your reach in a saturated local market by harnessing the power of digital marketing. Get your message in front of more faces by investing in a powerful engine that delivers a consistent stream of warm, engaged clients for your practice.

Marketing is really all about building relationships, and you’re a therapist, so that’s already kind of your whole thing.

- Don’t do the things you hate doing because you think that’s what you are supposed to do. You can and should make a marketing plan that aligns with you and your personality, and what you want for your business. If you do that, you’re more likely to keep it up.

- YOU NEED A GOOD WEBSITE. End of story. For so many reasons. Mainly, you need to be easy to find, or people will find someone else. Your website won’t do all the work, but it’s a crucial part of the overall strategy. There are lots of ways to get a website.

- Don’t let perfection get in the way of good enough! You can always go back and revamp your plan if it’s not working. Just give something a try. Start somewhere!

Before you do anything else, stop and do this:

Getting Clear on Your Ideal Client

You can’t really make a marketing plan if you’re not clear on who you are marketing to. You need a really clear sense of who your ideal client is, what their pain points are and what you have to offer them!

A “business avatar” is a fancy way of saying your ideal client. Clients will always assume a specialist is a generalist, but they will not expect a generalist to be a specialist. Especially in larger markets, you want to specialize beyond just couples. Here are some questions to get you started.

1. What are the names you want to give your ideal client/s?
2. What ages?
3. Where in your area do they live?
4. Do they have children?
5. How would they describe their relationship?
6. When they are venting to their friends, what do they say?
7. How would they describe success as a result of therapy?
8. What happened the day before they contacted you for therapy?
9. Where do they work?
10. Where do they play or spend free time?
11. What is the pain they are experiencing, and the outcome they seek, in one sentence? For example: I feel disconnected from my husband and I want to have fun again, maybe even s*x soon.

Private practice marketing myths:

1. If I’m good at my work, then couples will come to me.
2. I have to be an extrovert to be good at marketing.
3. Recurring patients are about the relationship, so technology doesn’t matter.

Research, strategise, implement, and optimise.

No more of this hyper-galactical-leads-when-you-want-2.0.

Even for those who have the golden formula, it's only a few weeks away from a system update which will usually crash your tactics.

Too many hospitals and healthcare practices rely on organic social media for a large part of their digital healthcare marketing strategies. Organic social media means posting photos, updates, events, and more directly to Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube, and it’s a valid strategy to build your brand and let patients know what’s new.

However, it shouldn’t be your only social strategy. Paid advertising on social media is a better way to reach the right people who may be looking for your services—even if you’re not already connected. Let’s face it: few people share posts from local healthcare organizations online unless they are already engaged with that group, or better yet, employed by it.

Paid social media is about more than pressing the “Boost Post” button that appears when you post from your business page. Like PPC or display advertising, it involves strategizing and budgeting to target the audience you want.

You might feel confident your expertise sets you apart from other healthcare providers, doctor practices or hospitals. But let’s face it–to a patient, one white coat looks just like the next.

Here’s the truth about confidence.
It makes you lead yourself and everyone else around you better.
What does that mean?
Your confidence will make you believe in your ability to serve your patients.
And it’ll reflect in everything that you do.
People will start to take notice of it.
From your team…
Your fellow practitioners…
Even your family and friends.
You’ll gain their respect.
And they’d be willing to follow you!
That’s how you become a true leader in your practice.

Keep the growth momentum of your clinic going!

Make it unstoppable!

How? 🤔

By identifying the “killers” that can compromise it! 🔥

But what are these?

These killers are the things that happen in your clinic…

That stops its positive momentum.

It could be a lack of new patients…

Staff members acting up and being toxic…

Or someone suddenly leaving...

So, make sure you identify what these are so you can fix them.

Removing these momentum killers will allow your practice to enjoy tremendous growth.

It will make your clinic UNSTOPPABLE!
