My first barefoot wedding today. The couple also broke two plates in a ritual. We did that near the beggining. My Husband Bill brought out a small table and gave the bride and groom a plate each. They place the plates in a celebrant tote bag. Then Bill gave them a surfboard fin.
They then smashed the plates with the fins. It was fabulous.

We managed to evade the rain today. Plan a became plan b when chairs were sinking into the lawn. Behind every couple is usually a team of family and friends soughting out the logistics. They did a magnificent job. And the couple were sensational.

Today before the wedding the bride to be came to chat to me and my husband Bill. Bill is my roadie and was checking the speaker at the time. She spotted her husband to be and hid behind us so he wouldn’t see her dress before their ceremony.
I screamed out to him to turn away but he was oblivious to anything. I ran to him and turned him away from seeing her. She ran into the guesthouse to avoid being seen by him before the Wedding. Lots of laughter from all involved.

The ceremony started.

The bride looked gorgeous. The groom looked fabulous. They were funny, engaging and are now Happily Married.

And thankfully the huge storm we encountered on the way up didn’t arrive here.
