Here's one way to improve your lead scoring efforts. Instead of using one single number to measure different things, use TWO!

Have one score for engagement and another for fit!

Just because someone has read a blog post or opened an email, it doesn't mean they are a good fit or prospect. But they might be a good fit, just not engaged. But if they are highly engaged and a good fit, they might just be your perfect lead.

Did you know if you have HubSpot Marketing Pro or Sales Pro, you can set different lead scores based on different objectives. It's a great way to sort sales prospects - especially if your sales team has so many leads and don't know who to speak to first.

It's all well and good to send people to your website, but does the person who lands there know what you want them to do next? That's where a call to action comes in.

So what is a good call to action? A good call to action tells people what they should do next. That might be something like:

Google's Universal Analytics is being sunsetted from 1st July next year. So if you want to have year on year comparisons, the time to move to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is now - well at least before 1st July this year.

We have been resisting using it simply because it's been missing some key features we love. But we have already started running both together. We think GA4 will eventually offer more features.

Why the change?

Universal Analytics was built for a generation of online measurement that was anchored in the desktop web, independent sessions and more easily observable data from cookies. But because cookies are becoming obsolete there is a need for change.
