More from Thang Long... In 1831, the name of Thang Long was changed to Hanoi province. This name existed until 1888 when the Nguyen Dynasty officially ceded Hanoi to France. The French changed Hanoi into a city. After conquering all of Indochina, they chose this as the capital of the French Indochina Federation. Hanoi's citadel was completely demolished to make way for offices and military camps for the French. Except for the North Gate and the flagpole, what remains of Hanoi citadel today is only an archaeological site and reconstruction.

We have been working on a project for the refurbishment of Nitmiluk/Katherine Gorge National Park Visitor Centre, a walking trail focusing on Jawoyn culture known as the Baruwei Loop and signage for a mountainbike track. The project has not been without it's challenges and much of the work has been undertaken remotely due to COVID-19. Here are some images of the work in progress.
