This year’s International Women’s Day theme, Give to Gain, is a simple idea with powerful meaning. When we give our time, knowledge, support, and opportunities to others, progress multiplies for everyone.
I had the privilege of attending two wonderful events here in Melbourne celebrating that spirit.
The first was an invitation from Equality Media + Marketing and Women’s Property Initiatives for lunch at the historic The Alexandra Club. Sitting in a space with such a rich legacy of women gathering, supporting one another, and shaping meaningful conversations felt particularly fitting for the occasion.
The second was a beautiful high tea hosted by Rialto Melbourne at the InterContinental Melbourne. The Rialto, bringing together women from across industries to connect, share experiences, and celebrate the collective impact women have in business and beyond.
What stood out most across both events was the reminder that progress doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when women open doors for one another. When we share knowledge. When we amplify each other’s voices.
The more we support, mentor, champion, and collaborate with one another, the more opportunity and momentum we create for the women coming behind us.
Grateful to have shared the room with so many inspiring women.
