RARE is a creative digital agency based in Melbourne, focused on creating innovative, exciting experiences for our clients.
We are currently on the lookout for a mid weight front-end focused web developer who’s an effective problem solver, a team player, and has a minimum 3 years working in a digital agency environment.
We are a small collaborative agency that punches well above our weight. We are located in Cremorne (Richmond) VIC just a very brief walk from Richmond station.

You will work closely with the design & back-end team to bridge the gap between visual concept and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides in defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
The Role:
Your key role will be producing front-end application code but you should also be keen to learn new things, brainstorm as well as:
Take on frontend development tasks across a range of web and app projects
Contribute in the technical design and implementation of new features and changes to existing features within established codebases
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, and optimise for maximum speed and scalability
Work collaboratively and proactively in a multidisciplinary team

Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in front-end focused web development within an agency
Very strong eye for design detail & understanding of design principles
Modern HTML (chrome era, legacy IE experience not required)
CSS 2 & 3
Plain Javascript
Bootstrap Responsive Framework
jQuery 3+
Ability to build custom Wordpress themes
Comfortable with basic Photoshop and Illustrator asset exporting/prep
Knowledge of responsive interface builds and mobile device support
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility
Basic understanding of git version control
Ability to work as part of a dynamic team
Willing to learn new skills and share ideas
A highly motivated, productive and collaborative approach to your work
