Big news this week for medicinal cannabis patients in NSW.

The NSW Government has announced proposed reforms to roadside drug testing laws that could allow hundreds of thousands of prescribed patients to drive without fear of automatic penalties.

Under the proposed changes, courts would be able to consider lawful prescription use — while penalties for impaired driving remain firmly in place.

These reforms are not yet in effect and remain subject to the legislative process.
