If you haven’t already registered your .au domain, register and set up a redirect to your current website.

In 6 months your competitor will have access to your domain name and secure it if they wish to.

Recently I have been noticing a few attempted security breaches on some websites I manage for the clients, if you think it cannot happen to you, think again!

1) Make sure you have a strong password/pass phrase

2) update your themes and plugins

3) Have an upto date SSL

4) Do not access when connected on public wifi

5) Install security plugins, at the very least Limit login attempts

6) Choose a good hosting server.

7) Back up your data regularly. Most web hosting services offer back ups, if not there are plugins that can do that for you

8) Lastly, be prepared. If the inevitable happens what is going to be your action plan

Until the end of December to support our Big Rivers Businesses there will be a reduced Co Contribution from 50% to 10% with grants available up to $10,000 for the Business Growth Program and the Business Pivot Program.

Mental Health First Aid Australia course is usually $88, however, this program is free in December for Big Rivers Businesses.

When designing a website think ahead! Think about where you want your business to be in 2-3 years and plan your Website to match the growth.

You might have a service that could grow into a seperate business or you might have plans expand to a new location. So how is website going to match your growth?

For Hatch solutions , Michelle had a clear growth plan and goals for her business. So we built 2 websites, 2 completely different architectures and made it look like 1 website (UI )

When the time comes they can use it use it as a landing page or as a new website.

As we reach the end of this financial year and refresh our business goals and plans for the next year, it is important that we keep an eye on our website as well.

👉 Step 1 : Go through all the URL’s (pages) and check if the browser has a lock/secure sign near each page.

What is a mixed content error?

You might have a secure SSL for your website but sometimes an image or a media file gets loaded from insecure connection 😏 and that makes the browser say your site is insecure.

The fix is quite simple. A simple google search will tell you how to do it. But when a potential customer sees an insecure site it will affect your brand credibility.👩‍💻
