George Bernard Shaw preferred death to meat-eating

When George Bernard Shaw was counting his last days, he was bed-ridden for some time and had become extremely fragile. The doctors advised him to take non-vegetarian diet to strengthen his body. To that, Bernard Shaw remarked, "I have written my will. When you carry my dead body to the graveyard, please make the cattle, goats, sheep, and hens walk by my side and see me off in my last journey. I want them to know that this friend of theirs jad preferred death to eating their flesh. This is my last wish!
