πΏ Have you seen the new Larrakia Bush Foods of East Point sign?
Installed as part of recent upgrades to the Science Trail at East Point Reserve, the new interpretive sign provides an insight into Larrakia knowledge and values associated with some of the many bush foods found in East Point's monsoon rainforest and across the Top End.
π You'll find it at Singh Park, on the left-hand side of Alex Fong Lim Drive just before P*e Wee's Restaurant, opposite the start of the Monsoon Forest Walk.
The sign features words and artwork by talented Larrakia artist Naomy Briston, with design by Catherine Beard from PlanScan NT.
Whether you're exploring the reserve or enjoying a walk through the Monsoon Forest, take a moment to stop, read and learn more about the rich cultural knowledge and native plants that make this special place unique.
