We were thrilled to attend the Tradeswomen Australia Workplace Diversity Program launch this week in Burnie with our good friends Sam and Kayla at Kiely Plumbing. They are championing the Department of Communities’ Supporting Women to Succeed grant in collaboration with Keystone and Tas TAFE Kiely is the first business of any trade in Tasmania to partner with them and we are excited to say they have now employed their first woman apprentice, Kayla. It stands to reason their new positioning line, Plumbing with Purpose, is so meaningful. We are excited to share the Kiely re-brand story and how embracing new ideas has led to groundbreaking and life-changing experiences by seeing peopel differently.

It was a privilege to be asked to speak at the Tradeswomen Australia Launch yesterday morning and speak about our journey.

We’ve been operating for 55 years and over that time, we’ve mentored 80 different apprentices. But we’ve never had a woman apprentice or tradesperson… until Kayla approached us.

At the time, we were undertaking some soul searching in preparation for a rebrand, which was achieved with the help of our brand strategist Steve, from We are People Peopel. This helped us to refine our image; we wanted to appear a more attractive prospect to a more diverse audience… and it worked.

Kayla was clearly a great fit for the apprenticeship, and we knew that it was time to make a change.

Since Kayla joined the Kiely family, she’s performed exceedingly well. And we’ve learned that women in trades have made our organisation a better one.

Through this journey we discovered Tradeswomen Australia and we’re incredibly excited to be partnered with such a phenomenal organisation. We’re also very proud to be taking part in the Workplace Diversity Program, championing women in trades. What makes this even more special is that we’re the very first Tasmanian business to partner with them, and to take part in this special program.

We’ve come a long way, but there’s still so far to go. At Kiely Plumbing, we’re proud to be a part of the journey.

We have recently enjoyed watching and working toward the growth and success of best selling Tasmanian Author Kyle Perry.

His connection to place and passion for the Tasmanian environment shines through not only in his novels, The Bluffs and The Deep, but with his connection with his readers.

We’ve loved helping with his personal brand strategy and positive positioning with his new web site design and are excited to see him prosper further in his career. A big congratulations on a few of his milestones of late with The Bluffs being announced as an upcoming TV series, and his highly anticipated next novel The Wild in the works.

Congrats mate, and keep up the great work.

Our little shop in Devonport wins the creative for a national branding project launching Zyft. Best described as the product Google should have built. This is very exciting.

Created by the founder of the giant online 'compare and save' insurance provider iSelect this high-tech AI social platform app is set to revolutionise retail online shopping globally.

Once downloaded Zyft follows browsing behaviour quietly in the background, searching and helping customers compare and buy products at the very best price. If you're looking for Bose speakers, an LG fridge or golf clubs for example, Zyft will list the best prices for the same product as you browse saving you time and money.

Zyft is forward-thinking and always in motion. It's a magic, futuristic helper that follows ones searching journey, wherever and whenever you shop online. It inspired the brand strategy and positioning line “Always Searching”, and animation for the flashing text cursor to complement the logo concept. The custom-made logotype is intended to appeal to an early adopter sifting and swiping through the internet clutter with a defining tone of voice, brand essence and shared values — friendly, fun, approachable, challenging conservative thinking and doing things different.

We developed the brand strategy and new corporate identity, icons, style guide, language and tone of voice, website design, merchandise, stationery with more to come.

From the start, we knew Treloar Civil & Quarries were more than Transport.

Their affection for the neighbouring Mountain and the surroundings, the Sheffield and Kentish community where they live (many of who they employ), their people and the environment is heartfelt. This insight helped form the backbone to their future vision and strategy away from what they do - to why they do it. Less about trucks and transport and more about culture and values influencing their commitment toward social and environmental policies and sustainable practice that remain at the core of businesses.

We were honoured to keep the wheels turning and work alongside John, Chris, Taryn and team to develop a new brand positioning and corporate identity as they continue to show up as strong leaders with new ideas and solutions in their industry. From brand strategy, style guide, uniforms and merchandise, logo identity, positioning line, corporate identity, vehicle signage, website design and development, we have loved every moment!

When travelling around Tasmanian roads keep an eye out for the big light blue trucks and the Mt Roland logo icon, you'll know it's Treloar!

At Peter & Una Seafoods, the tides have quietly changed, creating a new brand as tasty and fresh as the wild fish they catch as they transition away from Petuna the business they established over 70 years.

It was no surprise that when we first met the Rockliff and Sims family, we were hooked by their humble, down to earth values and kindness, making it easy to arrive at the positioning line that summed up their nature. Salt of the earth. And Sea.

If you are seafood-peopel like us visit www.peterandunaseafoods.com.au
where you can now order online in time for Christmas.

From brand strategy, logo identity, positioning line, packaging, store and vehicle signage, website design and development, we have loved every moment just as much as diving into a plate of delicious fresh prawns or oysters. Yum.

Thanks to the amazing team to work with Sallyann Sims, Rebecca Sims, Peter & Una Seafoods and our friends at Nova Design and Print for all your help and support.

There are good people and there are good people. Caity Walker is one of those people who leaves you wanting. She is inspiring, kind and thoughtful and just the person you would want mindfully shaping and providing a positive influence, inspiring and encouraging younger people at your school.
That very notion formed the idea of We are Mindfluencers.

From brand strategy, brand naming, logo identity, concept design, positioning line website design and development, we have loved every moment. If you're as much as people-peopel as we are, visit www.wearemindfluencers.com.au and contact Caity for more information and upcoming motivating events. Let's do great things.

Big thanks to our friends at Nova Design and Print for all your help and support.

We love storytelling but this book is a doozy! If you’re looking for a great book to read over Christmas we recommend The Deep by our good friend local Tasmanian Author Kyle Perry.
Seriously could not put this book down, had us hooked right to the last word. Once you finish it, you’ll want to pick up The Bluffs.

Congratulations Kyle for your nomination of Dymocks book of the year!
