This has happened a lot over the last 6-8 weeks ... it kind of poses 2 scenarios:

1. They feel intimidated by someone of their level or higher joining them in a slightly more junior role

2. The idea of non senior roles is to promote up and comers through the ranks

It's been a weird time ... but gee there's some absolute lessons that 23 has brought and thank God for that !

Have goals of course but having ideals is what helps you keep the bar high. Let them laugh at your aspirations ... its p...

There's more than 3 but here's what I would look for:

1. How much from what was committed to you in your first meeting has been met / done ?

2. Is your marketer constantly approachable and contactable?

3. If you removed your particular marketer from the business, would you be better or worse off and by how much?

I see the relationship as a 2 way street and unless both parties are equally invested it's going to struggle

After close to 6 years, I'm taking a break from DTM and shutting it down.

For good? Probably but who knows 🤷

Why? Main reason is that I've lost motivation and interest in doing this and I want to make a lot more money to put into my coffee business and to spend more time travelling and exploring ... I'll also be returning to the workforce in an advertising capacity too

I thought announcing this would make me feel like I've failed - but it's not like that at all - I'm just done with this chapter and am ready for new ones

Thanks so much to those that were part of this .. u know who u are.

Announcing that I'm taking a break from DTM Advertising and closing it down end of the year.

3 reasons have driven this;

1. The passion and enthusiasm for the work is no longer there - thankfully I have great clients who kept me going and I'll continue to work with them privately.

2. I want to concentrate more on my other business Olympus Coffee which is where my true heart and soul lie.

3. It's hard to make good money from this and getting by is not good enough for where I want and need to be in life.

THANK YOU to everyone that's been on the journey with me and to all that supported me and DM me constantly asking for marketing advice and general commentary.

You have to know in life when to pull the plug and get out, so while this venture closes for now, other doors are opening and it's time to explore those more and more.
