They say it’s peeling walls for painters and dripping taps for plumbers but it’s a new year and the perfect chance to show that we do things.....differently!

At CreativeTones, we’ve always believed a brand should reflect the quality of the work behind it, ours included. So we refined our website and evolved our portfolio to truly show who we are and how we work.

This new-look space tells our story through the projects we’ve shaped, the brands we’ve helped grow, and the ideas we’ve made come to life. Graphic design and other bright ideas — it’s more than a motto, it’s how we work.

If you’re after a logo, a website, or print/sign media that’s thoughtfully designed to last, it’s time to hit us up!

Warning: shameless sneaky little plug coming up — last year Tony, from CreativeTones, had the privilege of working as a graphic artist on the ABC’s Mystery Road, Season 2, shot over in Pemberton here in WA.

Tony was pretty chuffed to be part of the art department team — designing & creating props, dressing sets, and even getting back into some old-school hand-painted signs. Film life is a long way from the usual graphic design work, but he really enjoyed the challenge.

If you wanna see an amazing Aussie drama, filmed in some iconic WA country — plus a s**t load of Tony’s handiwork — then have a squiz. Season 2 kicks off this Sunday 21st Sept 8.15pm on ABC, and you can also catch it on iView.

We've been busy behind the scenes, with little time to be busy on the socials, but this one we couldn't let slip by.

We're very proud to showcase a new website we've rebuilt, working with Ian Anderson, from Great Victoria Desert Biodiversity Trust.

New business Park Up Hub is pre-launching and here to shake up vanlife travel as we know it! We had the pleasure of designing Park Up Hub's logo to reflect home is where you park up, especially when on the road.

Before Park Up Hub officially launches, the are offering a pre-launch special for early adopter HOSTS to join the community.

Do you have parking space on your property to share for $$, with travellers who need a safe spot to park and stay in their campervan overnight? List it on https://parkuphub.au by 23 Oct!

Q&A:
1. What is Park Up Hub? A platform built to connect vanlife travellers looking for safe places to park up overnight, with Aussie locals who share their driveways & spaces on their property in exchange for a small fee or help around their place.
2. What does it cost to sign up, add a listing & host? $0 🤑
3. Are there fees/commissions on bookings you accept? Never. Hosts earn 💯%
4. Wondering how Park Up Hub will cover platform running costs? Friends who add a listing by the 23rd get a free annual membership worth $59. Once officially launched, new hosts will get a 60 day free trial & the option to join with one of the paid membership options thereafter.
5. How much can you earn hosting? We recommend pricing fairly (between free/work exchange to $25 per night) to keep costs low. We’re on a mission to deter illegal camping, and its negative impacts to our communities such as anti-social behaviour & disrespect for our environment.
6. Who can book to park up at your place? Anyone in Aus travelling in a camper setup (no ⛺️). You select how big your space is and what sized vehicle will fit.
7. Will travellers need access to your toilet? Choose whether to offer amenities like your toilet OR select ‘must be self contained’ and they can park up and go. No lawn 💩 probs.
8. Do laws apply to hosting? If you’re hosting in WA, the state-wide Caravan Parks and Camping Grounds Regulations 1995 has clear guidelines. Other states are more challenging, with legislation that varies by city, so we recommend speaking directly to your council if you’re unsure.

To our clients and friends:

Action required to protect your corporate identity

Associations and clubs are being urged to take immediate action on planned domain name changes to prevent the possibility of their corporate identity being stolen and their contacts being scammed.
au Domain Administration Limited (auDA) will soon introduce the option of registering names with just the .au, removing the .com, .net, .org or other variations.

Owners with domain names that end in .com.au; .net.au or .org.au etc., who want to protect their identity or brand, have until 20 September 2022 to apply to be given priority status to claim their current domain names with just the .au suffix.

From 3 October 2022, unclaimed .au only domain names will be available to the general public for registration, creating fears that cyber criminals may use this as an opportunity to steal identities.

Domain names that currently just have .com, .net .org etc. without the .au will not be affected by this change.

If you want to register the .au direct match equivalent of your existing domain name, you will need to apply for Priority Status before 8am WA time on 21 September 2022. To check your priority category or see if there are other registrants eligible for the .au direct name you seek, you can use auDA’s Priority Status Tool.

https://www.auda.org.au/tools/priority-status-tool

Whether you’re a client of ours or not, get in touch if you need further help.

Ningaloo Aviation owner and chief pilot, Tiffany, had a dream to put the world's largest shark into the sky! In 2020, we designed the very first whale shark Cessna wrap and the extremely popular "Krill Seeker" was born. In fact, the flying whale shark was so popular, Ningaloo Aviation decided that Krill Seeker needed a partner in crime. We created a new design and "Wingaloo" was introduced to the fleet!

We worked with the experienced team at InFlight graphics, http://www.inflightgraphics.com.au, who printed and applied the Cessna wraps.
