If I could go back and give my younger self one piece of advice, it would be this: You need a planâbut not the kind you think đ¤
A few years ago, when I worked as a business advisor, I had to recommend the dreaded 30-page business planâthe kind stuffed with big words, dry projections, and enough jargon to make anyoneâs eyes glaze over. Every time I handed one over, Iâd see the same reaction: polite nodding, but pure dread behind the eyes.
And honestly? I didnât blame them.
Deep down, I thought, âThis is why people hate planning. It sucks the life out of their ideas. It stifles creativity. No wonder so many entrepreneurs avoid it.â
So, I avoided planning in my own projects. I wanted freedom, spontaneity, the ability to pivot whenever inspiration struck. But hereâs the problem: without a plan, I kept running in circles. I had the ideas, the drive, the passionâbut I wasnât making real progress.
Then it hit me: Planning doesnât have to be rigid. It doesnât have to feel like a corporate prison sentence. When done right, planning actually fuels creativityâit gives your ideas structure so they can grow, evolve, and actually turn into something real.
Now, a few years on, I still believe traditional planning kills creativity. But I also know that winging it only gets you so far. Thatâs why Iâve found a way to plan that works for meâsomething flexible, intuitive, and actually built for multipassionate entrepreneurs.
So, Iâm curiousâdo you have a plan? Not the boring, corporate kind. But a real system that keeps you moving forward? Or are you still running in circles like I was?
