Last night we got together to acknowledge the past 12 years of Thirteen Digital. From our humble beginnings in Burleigh to our beautiful studio in Newstead.

It felt we were always just quietly going about our business, focusing on the work and trying to produce the best outcomes for our clients.

In amongst that, it brought some very talented and kind people together. It wasn’t always perfect and there were some challenges. And on occasion there were some tears (usually hiding away in the kitchen) but there were some laughs.

So to my team, thank you for the lessons, loyalty, dedication, hard work and for having mine and each other’s back. You'll never know how much you all mean to me.

Tomorrow, the 13th of August, marks Thirteen Digital’s 12th birthday, and it is with mixed emotions that I am announcing that we will be closing our doors on the 30th of September 2022.
​
Over the past 12 years, we have collaborated with some amazing clients (who are now good friends) and created some award-winning projects. We’ve launched hundreds of websites, deployed thousands of email campaigns, and attracted millions upon millions of website visitors.

​I would like to thank everyone that has worked for Thirteen Digital, who made a significant difference to the projects, and to my life.

​We will be writing our last bit of code on Friday 30th September 2022 and completing all our work in progress by then.

It's no secret we like skateboarding at Thirteen Digital.

Yeah Girl is a global media platform celebrating the intersection of women’s skateboarding and creativity. We've had the pleasure of being one of their biggest supporters since their launch in 2016. In that time we have provided consultancy, web development and attended several Yeah Girl events on Gold Coast and in LA.
​
​Developed on a WordPress platform the website allows Yeah Girl to publish articles, interviews and manage digital media advertising campaigns featuring brands like Vans, Monster Energy, Vice, and Girls Are Awesome.
​
​Now a go-to source for women’s skate news, stories and events, Yeah Girl offers a platform for new and established voices within the community, from industry level to grassroots.

Flood update: it’s been 21 days since our studio was flooded. Our ever so resilient team is still working from home while we wait for the builders to arrive.

And our amazing studio operations, Kate has been working tirelessly in the background during and since the floods organising govt grants, talking to suppliers and preparing us for when we can return to the studio.

Thank you to everyone for your calls, messages and offers for desk space. I think a Studio Reopening party is in order!!! ❤️🎉

It’s been 7 days since our studio was impacted by the Brisbane floods. It challenged our stamina and resilience but we worked through it together.

There are a lot of people and businesses much more affected and worse off than us. We were very lucky.

We are very grateful to our wonderful clients and suppliers for all the support, messages and for giving us time to get back on our feet.

Our builders are now assessing the damage and will be repairing the studio when possible. In the meantime, we’re at full strength and working from home.

What a difference a week makes! Last weekend our studio was devastated by the Brisbane floods.
​
​We were lucky enough to save all our tech and computers and get them to higher ground. And during the week we were able to gain access to the studio and clean out all the water, mud and salvage what furniture we could.
​
Now we need to wait to get the builders in to assess the damage and repair the studio from the water damage.
​
​However, since the introduction to COVID-19 we are very accustomed to working from home and as of Monday, 7th March we will be back to our full strength and will be able to focus on you and your projects.
​
Thank you for all your understanding during this difficult time. Thank you for your phone calls, messages of support and offers for spare desks and the loaning of your boardrooms.

​We may be a little slow to respond due to the recent flooding in Brisbane over the weekend. Our studio has unfortunately copped the brunt of the flood waters.
​
Please rest assured we will be back to business as usual as soon as possible. Our team are safe and working from home and are planning a clean up once the flood waters recede.
