I am so sad to hear that Alex Stitt has passed away. Best known to many for his cartoons for the 'Life, Be In It' featuring dear old Norm, (picture above) as well as his work for the Reading and Writing Hotline (I can still sing the jingle) and countless other iconic Aussie ads from the 80s, 90s and more. A true original, Aussie icon and a master of his craft, I'll treasure the one time I was lucky enough to meet him and garb a signature. Rest in peace.

I'm not ashamed to say it, Sir Ken Robinson is a hero of mine. I've watched this video many times and am always inspired by it. In this Ted Talk Robinson explains just how damn important it is to nurture creativity in kids, in an effort to prepare them for a future we know almost nothing about.

Sir Ken Robinson makes an entertaining and profoundly moving case for creating an education system that nurtures (rather than undermines) creativity.
