Winter in Perth is when people get more selective about where they go out.

They are looking for warm spaces, good food, and somewhere that feels inviting before they even leave the house.

And they are checking your socials first.

If your Instagram or Facebook feels quiet or out of date, it is easy for them to scroll past and choose somewhere else.

Venues that stay active online through winter tend to stay front of mind when people are making plans for dinners, catch ups and weekends out.

Your socials do not need to be constant, but they do need to show people why they should come in, especially in winter.

Your social media is either working for you or working against you, and there's no neutral.

We see it all the time with Perth businesses: the page exists, but it's not doing anything. No consistency, no strategy, no connection.

Swipe through 4 signs your socials need attention, and if you're nodding along, you know where to find us. 👀

📍 Perth-based. Genuinely local. Actually invested.

The clients who get results fastest all have one thing in common... they let go.

Not in a dramatic “I’m done” way… just in a “I’m not rewriting this caption for the 7th time at 10pm” kind of way.

They trust the strategy, let us do our thing, and get on with running their business.

>>The ones who hold on to every little detail? Exhausted. Stuck. Still tweaking.
>>The ones who let go? Things actually move.

Funny that.

News Flash! You’re not saving money by doing your own socials.
You’re paying for it in the one currency you can’t get back: time.

Because every hour spent planning, designing, captioning, and posting is an hour not spent leading, selling, or growing your business.

Here’s what it really looks like:
➡️ “Quick post” = 45 minutes gone
➡️ Canva spiral = delayed client follow-ups
➡️ Overthinking content = stalled revenue activity

And it adds up fast.

The truth? Most business owners aren’t stuck because they lack clients… they’re stuck because they’re still doing $30/hour tasks instead of $300/hour work.

Your Hive doesn’t just take social media off your plate - we give you back the space to actually run your business properly.

You didn’t build your business to be your own content creator.
You built it to grow.

Most businesses aren’t "losing" because they’re worse… they’re "losing" because they’re invisible.

You can be brilliant at what you do, deliver incredible results and have happy clients who rave about you.

But if you’re not consistently showing up, you’re not even in the race.

Because the business that is visible…
>> wins the enquiry
>> wins the trust
>> wins the sale

It’s not always about being better. It’s about being seen.

If your content has been an afterthought, this is your sign to change that.

Visibility isn’t vanity… it’s strategy.

A couple of weeks ago, we said goodbye to Bridie at Your Hive… and honestly, the office still feels a little quieter (and significantly less chaotic) without her.

Bridie started with me while she was still at uni as an intern, before growing into a junior assistant, assistant, and eventually our Client & Content Coordinator. Watching her grow over the years into the marketer and human she is today has been something really special.

And if you know Bridie, you’ll know her final day was the perfect summary of her entire Your Hive experience.

Before lunchtime, she had:
• finished her content at the absolute last possible second
• forgotten her phone and raced home for it before I noticed
• caused confusion over whether her “non-caffeinated” energy drink was actually caffeinated
• accidentally locked herself out of her laptop after changing the password
• somehow hacked her way back in
• photoshopped me into a “better” photo for my vision board
• solved a pretty major client issue mid-chaos
• and decided her lunch urgently needed gravy… which was prepared in a tea cup.

Honestly, it was art.

There are also a few things we’ll never forget:
– the 5am office arrivals that absolutely nobody asked for
– her deep commitment to energy drinks
– the legendary deli roll at a photoshoot that made the rest of us instantly jealous
– and her lifelong talent for taking photos of me exclusively at my worst possible angle.

But underneath all the sarcasm, chaos and gravy… Bridie became someone our clients trusted deeply and someone our team relied on constantly.

One of the biggest things she’s taking with her is the lesson to always have a backup plan... because in marketing, things change constantly and being able to think on your feet matters. Thankfully, Bridie became very good at both.

I’m incredibly proud of the person and professional she’s become over the last few years, and while we’re sad to see her go, we’re also excited to see her step into her next chapter as an Account Manager.

Thanks for everything, Bridie.
Your Hive won’t quite be the same without you 💛

Let’s clear something up…what’s the real cost of hiring a social media manager?

It depends on what you expect your content to actually do.

✨ If you’re just paying for “posts” = you’ll get content, but not growth.
✨ If you’re paying for DIY support = you’re still carrying the strategy.
✨ If you’re investing in a full system = that’s where the return shows up.

Because with Your Hive, you’re not just hiring someone to post.

You’re getting:

➡️ Strategy built around real business goals
➡️ Content designed to stop the scroll and drive enquiries
➡️ Full creation, scheduling, and management done for you
➡️ Reporting that actually shows impact, not just activity

So the real cost isn’t just the service fee. It’s the cost of not having content that converts.

Comment “COUNT ME IN” and we’ll show you exactly how we can take your socials off your plate.

We’re going to say it, because it needs to be heard: Likes & Comments are no longer the best measurement of your success on social media.

In the early days of social media, most platforms featured a main feed that only featured content from accounts you followed. Back then, the go-to metrics where engagement related; likes, comments, follwers etc.

Since then, almost every algorithm has integrated a reccomendation element into their main feed, so that users see content from accounts they don’t follow, introducing metrics like reach and impressions.

But when the algorithms changed, user behaviour changed as well, but businesses' understanding of metrics seems to be stuck in the era of the chronological feed.

We get it, the new metrics are confusing, so we break down what they are, and why they're important.
