The Allpride installation team today finished installing a huge signage package for Kanwal Public School.

The new signage which included a new LED screen pylon, almost 50m of custom story board panels around the school, router cut mascots, flora & fauna panels, school branding & wayfinding plinths just to name a few!

The new signs deliver a clean, modern look that enhances the front of the school while also bringing a fun, fresh feel that the kids can enjoy every day throughout the playground! It has created a welcoming and vibrant first impression for students, families and visitors alike.

Our team is proud to have been involved in delivering this project — it’s great to see it completed and looking so good!

**Position Vacant**

Available for immediate start, we are seeking a skilled Sheetmetal/Welder to join our team at Allpride Signs.

Based in Gateshead, this full-time position is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of custom signage and marketing materials.

What you'll be doing
- Fabricating signage and marketing materials from sheet metal using welding techniques
- Interpreting shop drawings, sketches and technical specifications to produce high-quality finished products
- Performing MIG, TIG and other welding processes to join sheet metal components
- Utilising hand and power tools to cut, bend, shape and assemble signage
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
- Collaborating with the design and installation teams to ensure successful project delivery

What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a fabricator or welder, ideally in the signage or manufacturing industry
- Strong technical skills in sheet metal fabrication, welding (MIG, TIG) and the use of hand/power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sketches and specifications
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong safety focus and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Allpride Signs have been busy designing & manufacturing the signage throughout the new John Hunter Hospital which is progressing well, with installation across the emergency departments on Level 00 now 95% complete, ensuring clear way-finding and improved navigation for patients, visitors, and staff in this critical area.

Our installation team is now working their way through Levels 1 - 5 when those areas come live.

Each sign is being installed in line with the hospital’s design standards and way-finding strategy, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and compliance across all areas. This rollout is a key part of preparing the new John Hunter Hospital for operational readiness, helping to create a welcoming and functional environment for all who use the facility

We're experiencing a huge influx in new projects & installations and now actively looking to expand our busy team with 4 new people, including:

📣In-house sign manufacturer - Working alongside our production manager and our team of sign technicians, you will be responsible for bringing shop drawings to life with vinyl, printed graphics & sign materials. WH&S Whitecard & previous experience in a manufacturing workshop desired.

📣Graphic Designer & Print specialist - Are you an energetic and talented Graphic Designer with experience in Corel Draw, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat with an understanding of both print and digital media?

📣 Sign Installer - we are looking for attentive, driven and reliable people with general experience in either signage or construction to work within a small team environment to work onsite at the New John Hunter Hospital installing internal signage we have manufactured

📣 Admin & Tech Support Officer - Assisting our sales & tech team, you will be responsible for coordinating quotations and new jobs & communicating with our clients regarding the marketing & maintenance of new & existing LED screens all over NSW. You will be a qualified Administration Officer with experience in IT.

Our team has been busily completing the installation of identification, wayfinding, and statutory signage at the newly transformed Mariner Resort in Nelson Bay over the last few weeks including a 6 storey crane lift of the 11m Rooftop Sign the Allpride metal workshop fabricated, to update the well known sign that had been there for over 30 years.

We look forward to showcasing the final design & fitout of the internal signage

**Positions Available**

Allpride Signs has been successful in securing the signage contract for the new John Hunter Hospital, so we are seeking some additional, attentive, driven and reliable people to work with our existing crew to assist our in house manufacturing team and onsite installation team with the assembly & installation of signs for this project.

If you have previous experience in vinyl application, signage manufacturing & installation or general handyman experience, please send your resume & a cover letter through to [email protected]

The works will commence from July 2025 & completion due in 2027. We are looking for people to start within the next 3-4 weeks. Interviews will be held next week.
