Who actually believes that money doesn’t buy happiness? 🤔
So I listened to this podcast about how money can buy happiness and he brought up some good points that got me thinking.
Now obviously your mindset plays a massive part in whether you're happy or not right, you could be rich as hell and still be a grumpy person, mad at the world.
But let’s be real: money buys you options, and those options let you build a life on your terms.
Let me break down the points that he made:
Peace of Mind – Imagine just paying bills the moment they hit without stressing if there’s enough in the account. No more panicking over broken appliances, things that need fixing or that unexpected vet bill.
Choices – Almost every decision we make has a price tag: the food you eat, clothes you wear, the car you drive, the healthcare and services you can access. When money’s not an issue, you’re not limited by those choices and get to pick what you really want.... no more Temu!!
Time – Money buys back your time. Imagine never having to do that cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking, and laundry, and paying someone to take care of it all. Instead of being weighed down by the daily grind, you’re freed up to spend time doing what you actually love and enjoy.
New Experiences – It’s about creating a life that’s exciting! Think more travel, more memories, bucket-list experiences—exploring new countries & cultures, going to concerts, or that luxury vacay you’ve dreamed of.
Health & Wellness – It means access to personal trainers, wellness retreats, organic food, massages, chiro —the stuff that keeps you feeling strong and healthy. No more walking around with a crook back hoping it will go away.
Personal Growth – Imagine having the resources to invest in yourself—whether it’s learning a new skill, working on your mindset, or contributing to causes you care about.
Relationships – Let’s face it, when you’re not stressed about every dollar, you’re more present. Time for family, friends, and kids becomes quality time, and you get to actually enjoy it.
So yeah, maybe money doesn’t buy happiness, but it definitely buys choices and freedom—and that creates more room for the things that do bring happiness.
What do you think?
