The final product might have seemed effortless, the work that goes into it are the dedicated process, attention to details, and years of experience in glassblowing.

Every glass cup starts as a plain tube, heated over an open fire for it to soften for blowing and expansion.

Every handle is fused with fire, piece by piece.

These are the behind-the-scenes, real work, and real dedication that does not get presented on the stage. And I would like to appreciate the artisanal process that we are privilege enough to experience here at HUM Concept

I have been saying these cups are vessels for creating the moment.

Then I realised I had been looking at the wellness side of the story all along.

Because think about it - what is this really about?
To pause. To give ourselves permission to stop. To protect our mental state amongst all the chaos of daily life.
When my customers tell me they reach for these cups during their evening wind-down, that quiet moment with a warm herbal tea after kids go to bed, that is the real purpose and the real value.

Been having conversations with my friends lately, and I really felt this - there are times in life where you compromise on things just for their function and have this mentality of ”If it works, it is fine“.

And for some people, they’ve reached a stage in life where they are not going to compromise their standards anymore.

They give themselves the permission to be particular about things and how they should be. They take time for themselves. And they‘re unapologetic about it.
