Let me take you through the process of custom glass cup design.

We collaborated with MELBOURNE’S FIRST MID CENTURY MODERN STUDIO , a mid-century content studio in South Melbourne, to create custom branded glass cups for their Open Haus launch this July.

From a discovery chat on vision and style, two design concepts, to the production.

We landed on a minimal, grounded concept with two glass colours.

This is a question that we often get: "Is there any difference between these two cups?"

Yes, there is. They are of different design, and it does feel a bit delusional to say that they actually hold the exact same amount of liquid.

Here is a test for you to experience it. I hope this helps ;)

Launching in 2 weeks - Fluir Cup

A collaboration with Dann Benjamin for home baristas who are passionate about latte art.

Dan and I met at Melbourne Coffee Expo and explored the idea of designing a glass cup for latte art. The design principle was simple: wide opening, rounded bottom, stackable cup body.

Some details you don’t notice until you‘ve got the physical product in your hand - and tested it with as many people as you can. Our first sample had the handle opening too narrow for the index finger, so we widened the gap, along with plenty of other micro changes in the CAD drawing.

The design is now finalised, and we’re launching this collaboration on 08/10.

Always amazed by Dan‘s talent in latte art and we are absolutely stoked by his recent championship in NZLAC!
