Being part of collective of people is often colloquially called "a family".
Living and sharing those values is just as important as relying on them in times of need.
In 2024; just 7 months after joining the UFG "family" (United Franchise Group Australia) I travelled to the US for The World Expo, with Liz Luisi.
At the time we reached out to a franchise owner in Southern California, the wonderful Rocio at Fully Promoted Costa Mesa powered by EmbroidMe, who graciously took time out of her day to meet with and discuss the ups and downs of our industry from a US perspective. I was intrigued to learn that our opportunities & challenges were not very different.
This week, I've had the pleasure to host Hector Leal and his wife long term owners from Fully Promoted, who whilst semi retired, are still keen to learn, share and support the family on other side of the world!
We visited the UFG Corporate offices, Training rooms and my Gladesville store before taking a slight detour to share "traditional" Aussie tucker at Harry's Cafe de Wheels and a quick sightseeing tour to visit Bondi Beach.
Thanks to Rosie Canty for helping to set it up; and to Liz and Steve at Fully Promoted Norwest for taking time out of your days to meet up also.
Sharing amongst owners is a large part of the reason franchising works.
