Large Format Artworks for TAFE Coomera Marine Campus

Objective: You have been commissioned with creating two visually captivating and aesthetically pleasing large format artworks. These artworks will be utilized as posters or murals at the TAFE Coomera Marine Campus building. The primary goal is to enhance the ambiance of the space, reflecting the institution’s aesthetics and colours while adding an element of liveliness and decoration.

I've been creating a lot over the last few years, and I wanted to share one of the highlights with you. It's this striking book jacket that I designed. The cover features a captivating photo of a young girl taken at an event back in 2009. At the time, I titled it "Attitude" because her expression and demeanour were so full of confidence and spirit.

The process of producing this book jacket was truly enlivening. I wanted to capture the essence of the story that I imagined would be written within its pages and create a sense of intrigue in potential readers. Choosing the photograph of this young girl felt like the perfect fit. Her captivating gaze and the way she carried herself spoke volumes about the themes I wanted to explore.

To bring the design to life, I performed extensive research on indigenous Australia, carefully selected fonts, colours, and layout elements that would enhance the overall visual impact and be a suitable representation for their culture. I aimed for simplicity and elegance, allowing the photo to take centre stage while adding subtle touches to create a harmonious composition.

Seeing the final result was incredibly rewarding. The book jacket perfectly captured what just might become the essence of the story inside, and the cover image with the young girl drew attention and curiosity from anyone who saw it. It's always a delight to see how art and design can come together to create a lasting impression.

I really appreciate having both the time and the opportunity to have worked on this project and that I can share it with you right now. It serves as a reminder of the power of creativity and the joy it can bring. ~ Elizabeth xox

I've almost finished a massive location rebrand called 🌟 South Gippsland Refreshed! 🌟 including a super innovative concept for Virtual Guided Tours that could bring the awe-inspiring beauty of whale watching right to your fingertips. Where you wouldn't have to worry about sea sickness or weather conditions or even being in the right region – simply grab your favourite device, sit back, and let us transport you to the mesmerizing world of South Gippsland's whales. It's an opportunity you won't want to miss!

And here's the best part: the Whales could be visiting South Gippsland any time between July and November! 🗓️ To give you a taste of the breathtaking encounters awaiting you, let me share a personal story. Back in 2010, I had the incredible privilege of photographing a pod of Southern Right Whales from the shores of Waratah Bay. The sheer majesty and awe-inspiring presence of these gentle giants left an indelible mark on me. I know firsthand just how captivating this experience can be!

While preparing for the rebranding launch, I came across an absolutely breathtaking photograph that perfectly captures the essence of this beautiful region.

Now, I have a confession to make: this stunning image on the poster I'm sharing isn't one of mine. But oh, how I wish it was! 📸 The photograph I stumbled upon is a testament to the mesmerizing wonders of South Gippsland, showcasing its incredible natural beauty and the awe-inspiring presence of Whales on our shores.

This poster is just a smidgen of what's to come in the rebranding of this wonderful location on the southeast tip of Australia and I'm having the time of my life producing it 🌞

Whipped up a little animated gif this afternoon to add to my portfolio. A little bit of movement always gets more attention than static images.

This was one of the easiest and most rewarding photoshoots I've ever done. These girls were actually working while I took the pictures so the atmosphere was natural and relaxed. I LOVE doing my thing ❤
