β€˜Into The Blue’, is the name of my latest painting, which I completed this week. Inspired by the mesmerizing hues of the ocean,🌊 each brushstroke echoes the fluidity of water, capturing its depths and the dance of light beneath its surface.

Acrylic, 18”x18” (48.7cm x 48.7cm) and float frame using sustainable Flooded Gum custom made by Southern Buoy Framing. πŸ™

You saw the previous post teasing you on what I had been working on, finally got to post two entries I entered for an Art Competition, I hope you enjoy the bright colours throughout!

The theme of the competition was 'Express Yourself' for this I incorporated the bold strokes of juniper, splashes of fresh fruit like red apple, pear and flashes of fragrant flowers like rose petals and lemon aspen. Let me know your favourite - the first is titled 'Juniper Drops, and the second is titled 'Harvest Time'. I painted both on 41cm x 30cm (16" x 12") canvas boards. The mediums I used on both are - acrylic paint, acrylic ink, acrylic markers and pencils, they are both unframed.
